Hey there, everyone!
Hi, I'm Capatin Louis, a fan of the Forgotten Realms, Planescape, and RPGs in general. Anyone who visits the Realms of Evil forum might know me as Fenrir, and I have been looking for an all FR forum, because, well, the RoE board isn't very active. I'm gonna go post, so I hope to see all of you in the forums!

Ah, yes Captain Louis welcome to Candlekeep. It is rare to find a seafarer as yourself take up board to this place yet I was always one to enjoy those few sailing folk I have encountered and I welcome the chance to meet with yet another. Cheers to you sir. |

Well met Salazar, Hope you'll enjoy this forum and the knowledge contained herein. However, your excuse is not acceptable. As a 'cheesehead' you should know better... |

Hah! What have I told you about the ale Mumadar??? *snatches it and passes it to TDM* You can have it, TDM, since I'm not worried about it addling your wits. Welcome to the library, Salazar! Feel free to research as you like and ignore these people's nettling. They're no better sometimes. (j/k) [It's all this ale hidden in here...]*sigh* Once again, welcome friend. |

But... but... but... <grmmbll...> There goes my ale... <throws dark look in direction of Kitira. I meant that as a dutch 'cheesehead' (nickname for dutch used in Belgium and Germany - like yanks or tommies...)he shouldn't be excusing himself for his english. Being a dutchie myself, I should know...
And having seen some of his posts, I thought the excuse was not necessary. For no-one actually. We are an international community and should respect the non-native english speakers for their attempts in communicating in another language. Something most native english speakers don't know how to do.
Sorry if this sounds as a rant, not meant that way and not meant to insult. Just to try and encourage those who feel their english is not as good as they like to not worry and just post what they want to say. |

Well thanks Kitira, but I'll manage being a cheesehead. Afterall it's better being a cheesehead than live without a head at all.
And what about the ale? Where is it.... |

Frey places a pint-a-bitter on the table in front of Salazar and mumbles in ununderstandleble (sp?) tongue: "Leuk dat je hier bent, er is hier veel te beleven." Then she adds with a wink: "Maar drink niet teveel van dit bier, het is een stevig brouwsel." After that she turns to the others and asks: "More beer, anyone?" |

Frey looks down on the head scribe, slowly shakes his head and says, "I think I'd rather make you some tea then?" Then she picks up his mug and walks to the door. When she opens the door she lingers. She looks over her shoulder answering him: "no sir, Don't wanna be a learned scribe. I'm just a cook and I like listening to you wise men. Perhaps I might even learn from you... if only I could understand more of what you're talking about..."
Then she shrugs and disappears happily into the kitchen to make some tea. |

Lots of people have trouble understanding what I'm talking about , though that's usually not due to my wisdom
Can we all stop posting in this topic now - it's starting to rival me for the most replies in a welcome topic
