The Realms are dangerous, there are enemies in each inch. Great dragons hidden in their caves at the end of a green forest full of minor creatures that drain your health gradually, psionics hidden in secrets places, waiting the perfect moment to attack you and degust your brain (MMMMMMMM, simply delicious, the btrain of a young wizard....), not even in the cities walls you're safe, assassins, bounty hunters and thieves of all kind are hidden, expecting you forget your back to stab you cowardly.

But, there are relaxed moments, the walk through a nice forest (like Tethyr one, or my beloved Darmoreik...), the fresh seawind hitting your face, or the funny trading activity. What moments do you prefer, the hot and fierce times of battle, or the quiet and relaxed peace moments? The fierce goblin, or the hard dealer?

"If you are to truly understand, then you will need the contrast, not adherence to a single ideal." - Kreia
"I THINK I JUST HAD ANOTHER NEAR-RINCEWIND EXPERIENCE"- Discworld's Death frustrated after Rincewind scapes his grasp... again.
"I am death, come for thee" - Nimbul, from Baldur's Gate I just before being badly spanked

The best roleplaying moments I've experienced were outside of combat and involved little if any dice rolling.

The hot and fierce times of battle are the quiet and relaxed peaceful moments!

I remember many meorable times
not just in peace time but also shortly before or after battle
as arguments flare for certain action to follow.

but id have to say peace time as long as its not too peaceful

So des na?

Yoshimo loves the peaceful breeze through the flourishing branches of the trees in Kythorn month, Selune's beautiful white rays shining down upon my face. Yet, being a bounty hunter, there are times when I must work for good or for ill. The gold matters. Peace, though, comes as no small price. 'The only thing peace has to offer is war.' -Quote
