After I desribed the basic premisis(misspelled) of my campaign, someone asked me to keep you guys updated on its progress.

The campaign started two days ago, on thursday. At the first adventure, the only players there were the elven cleric of Shevarash, the devout(to mask) human rogue, and the A. genasi fighter. Since the calimshite player wasn't there, I ran his character(some people say DMs shouldn't run characters, but I don't metagame, so it worked fine). We were in a small dwarven town off the main road on the east of Sundabar. The town was called inventively(for dwarves), Deep Iron. In the beginning, we were all in a tavern. The rogue was with some dwarves telling bawdy jokes, and getting a little drunk. The cleric sat in a corner brooding. The mage was playing a game of dice with the barkeep, using magic to influence the fall of the dice. The A. genasi was sitting in a booth with his tiefling partner Telathra. As the hour approached midnight, Telathra excused himself, saying he had business in the Thayan enclave to the north. A half hour later, two moon elves walk into the bar, and approach the elf in the corner. They demand he return to the moonwood with them, stating that he is a danger to himself and others, and that he must face trial for his crimes. The elf refuses of course, and drawing his bow, nails the first elf in the thigh, though the elf still lives. The drunk dwarves and the barkeep edge away from the fight, and the A. genasi and rogue decide to help the elf, figuring he will win. The mage backs into a corner, not sure which side to take. He waits a few seconds, and then fires a bolt of frost at the second elf. The elf dodges the ice. Eventually, we dispatched the elves. We are about to head outside, but we decide to send the rogue to scout it out. He returns, arrows trailing him. We rush out, and the rogue pulls out his hvy. crossbow and kills one elf. The cleric manages to miss with his bow(+6 attack bonus my ass). The A. genasi also manages to miss two rounds running. After the A. genasi is stabbed by the elf, the mage takes the same elf down with one spell. This spawns a rivalry, and a continuing argument over which is superior, the art of swordplay, or the Art. Needless to say, we defeat the elves, and have a fitful night at the inn, having trouble sleeping for fear of attack. The next morning, three elves are escorted into town by a dwarf, who leads them to us. The dwarf says the elves are unarmed, and simply want to talk. After negotiations break down, the mesmerized dwarf collapses, and the elves draw swords from beneath their cloaks. Combat ensues, with both the mage and the rogue being reduced to below zero HP. The fighter and the cleric manage to defeat them though. The cleric restores both unconsious adventurers to partial health,, and then we rest for a while. That is the end of the first adventure.

The second adventure took place at the house of the absent member from the first session(in fact, the second adventure took place less than twenty-four hours from the first. I gave him the wood elf ranger character, mainly because I had grown attached to the mage, and because the player for the ranger wouldn't be able to come to attend sessions for a while. When the adventure started, we were all in our rooms sleeping, including Telathra. The mage was at the Thayan enclave discussing the Art with the thayans(I edited out the part about him being enslaved by the thayans, and changed it to just common slavers). Everyone is awakened by a shout from Telathra,"Wake up, there are assassins in your rooms!" As it turned out, there were only three assassins, one for Telathra, one for the cleric, and one for the fighter. The assassins decided to go after the ones they had seen take out three elves on their own. Telathra's claim was supported, when the mage arrived at the inn shouting about how an attempt was made on his life, but the Thayan's killed the would-be assassin. The characters, with the help of the ranger take down the two assassins after them. Telathra is the one who sent the assassin's, mainly to test the skills of the A. genasi. Telathra's assassin was willing to sacrifice his life for the greater "good". The assassins were tieflings, loyal to Telathra. Telathra walks out of his room, past the players, with a long, jagged(self-inflicted) gash along his cheek. He declares he is going to Silverymoon to try and find out who the assassins were. The players find the dead bodies of the innkeeper and his wife. They decide it is time to leave the town, and travel to the road, and begin the trek to Sundabar, where they will then buy more supplies, and horses for the trip to Silverymoon. Along the road, they are ambushed by the last three elves. They easily crush the elves. Further along the road, a lone drow steps out onto the road. She says that she is the twin sister of the good cleric of Eilestree that the cleric killed in cold blood to gain entrance into the church of Shevarash. The is also a cleric of the good drow goddess. She quickly launches an assult, bastard sword in hand. After a hard fought battle, she is barely standing. She manages to dodge the rapier of the fighter one last time before she uses a magic item to teleport away. Congratulations, you just scored your first reicurring villain. That was the end of the second adventure. Sadly, the next adventure won't be till the twelth of june, but that is only something like twelve days.
