When the series comes to end next year, how about doing a write up for it similar to the one that was done for the novels in the old Forgotten Realms atlas?
For those who dont have access to the old 1ed Atlas
It starts off with a calander listing the months and days when specfic things happaned in the novels, it also has small maps of the places the characters went to for example Waterdeep has a map of Blackstaffs tower etc
This could perhaps be done as Dragon Article or for the Wotc website

Interesting idea. I think the door might be open for a variety of article's depending upon WOTSQ's conclusion. A current clack on the various Underdark cities affected by the events is a possibility. As is something detailing ramifications for the pantheon overall based upon the events within the whole series.
I'm still trying to figure out something. Was there any official word as to why Eilistraee is in Arvandor now? Is this because events following her mother's silence prompted the move? |

Doubtful because according to Sean (who made the new planes) FR's Planes have always been the tree, so she's ALWAYS lived in Arvandor and the Abyss, even though we know that isn't true, so welcome to retcon city, next stop is the messed up holes in the 3e FR planar alignment. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

if you read the comment Correlion makes to Ellistree when the they kick Lolth out Arvandor it seems like she had a open invitation to return from the start
Also it doesnt make alot of sense for followers to end up in Abyss/Demon Web most are CN or CG or NG theres not alot sense in them ending up in a predominately CE plane |

I never understood why Eilistraee's domain wasn't placed in the Gates of the Moon, which seems to be the 3e FR cosmology version of the "good" aspects of Ysgard. The again it would make a lot more sense to have Vhaeraun in the Shadow Plane and Kiaransalee on a layer of the Abyss ( wasn't she making herself an unwelcome guest in Orcus's Abyssal kingdom at last report, anyway? )The Demonweb Pits is really only suited, thematically, to Lolth and Selvetarm. |

Orcus kicked her out after his return in Dead Gods. Yes I know it doesn't say that but you have to put two and two together. The BOVD says that ritual worked and then all of a sudden in 3e FR material he also returned to FR, so since he is back, he must have claimed his realm from her. Also according to the Players Guide it had to happen since he resides in the Abyss and there are NO deities that reside in the Abyss so I guess she fled to the Demonweb Pits.
But you know it does make more sense for Eilistraee to be in the Gates of the Moon in the 3e planar tree. If I ever stop hating that tree enough to actually use it, that is where I'd change her realm to. |

That would be a great idea - a web article on the FR site giving a run-down of the political situation in each of the major drow cities. Have the males who really run things in Schindylryn gotten fed up with the decadent Matron Mothers and booted them off their thrones? Is the wizards' Conclave of Sshamath encouraging priestesses of Lolth to take up new careers as street-sweepers? And what the hell happened to the Lolth-worshipping Houses of Eryndlyn? Were they exterminated by the Vhaeraunite and Ghaunadaran drow houses ( as stated in City of the Spider Queen) or do they still stand? ( the situation as presented in Underdark). |

Twilight,I am going to say that we won't see any web article concerning the political fallout after the WoTSQ.The articles on WoTC website are a collection of Ed's vast, and intriguing world. Some of the stuff is from many moons ago if I am correct.Well not all of the articles are his,but most are.I'm thinking maybe Dragon might have an atricle on it.If not. There is always FR 5.5ED |

Additionally, aren't most of the FR Dragon articles not written by Ed Greenwood in support of novels or gaming products for FR that are about to be released? Thus, if the series wraps up, I think if we don't see something immediately after, like the "After the Dragon" article for Cormyr, we won't see something for quite awhile until the drow situation is addressed again in some type of product. |
