Well met

It is with great sadness to relay this news (thanks to Brimstone for bringing this to my attention), from the "Fans of Ed Greenwood" Facebook page. For those without access to the platform, I provide the quote from the page below:

From: https://www.facebook.com/TheEdVerse/
quote:
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Jenny Greenwood, Ed's wife, on June 17th, 2022. Jenny was born before the war, lived through the Battle of Britain, and was at the heart of the British Jazz scene in the 1950s where she was the secretary of the British Jazz Federation. She emigrated to Canada in 1959 where she worked in hospitals and then libraries. She had a good, busy life, three kids and one granddaughter who had her convocation (Bachelor's Degree at University two days before she passed). He was married to Jenny for 45 years and is, as can be expected, dealing with a lot.

Ed is healing. If you have his email, please don't message him for a while to give him this time to grieve. Please refrain from any DM at this time. I waited to announce this to give him time to deal with family and the things that inevitably follow when a loved one passes.

Our deepest sympathies on behalf of Candlekeep to Ed during this extremely difficult time

I almost started a scroll on this, then I decided to let AL know. Very tasteful AL. My Condolences to Ed and his Family.

My most sincere condolences to Ed Greenwood and his family. This is sad news, indeed.

Instead of seeking change, you prefer a void, merciless abyss of a world...

I didn't know that. She was an OG Knight of Myth Drannor. That's cool.

Such heartbreaking news. My condolences to Ed and the entire family.

I'm sure he has plenty of family and friends to help. But if there is anything the community can do I think many of us would drop everything to help the man. I'm sure the few here that knew him well can direct us if there's anything that we can do.

The party come to a town befallen by hysteria

Rogue: So what's in the general store?
DM: What are you looking for?
Rogue: Whatevers in the store.
DM: Like what?
Rogue: Everything.
DM: There is a lot of stuff.
Rogue: Is there a cart outside?
DM: (rolls) Yes.
Rogue: We'll take it all, we may need it for the greater good.

Very sad news. I don't know how I would handle my own wife passing, but it would be devastating.

quote:
To mark the return of Mages and Sages: Interviews with the Old Mage Podcast, we are reviewing a classic by the Old Mage himself published in 1992 by TSR, Inc: Haunted Halls of Eveningstar. We will brodcast live on July 22nd starting at 8pm Eastern . This will be a live discusssion of one of Ed's classic modules. If you read the dedication of the work, you will see a name that gives us reason to review this classic module: Jenny.
Please join us. This will be broadcast over You Tube since our Twitch channell is still not being nice to us.
Joining us will be George Krashos (who's idea it was to do this show to honor Jenny), myself, Curry Russell, Eric Boyd, Steven Schend and the Old Mage himself, Ed.

I have waited to post here because I didn't know what to say. I will just simply say: May Ed and his family dwell not on Jenny's passing, but on the many joys she brought them.

"Iriaebor is a fine city. So what if you can have violence between merchant groups break out at any moment. Not every city can offer dinner AND a show."
