I'm looking to see if there is a FR book focusing on a necromancer or some information out there I can find for this type of character.

The FR book: Lords of Darkness is full of necromatic lore. The 3E Lords of Darkness has a little bit of stuff in it too.

The 2E Drow of the Underdark, The Cult of the Dragon, Secrets of the Magister, ' Lorebook and Pages from the mages each have bits of necromatic lore.

3E has Champions of Ruin, and lords of Darkness.

Most books in general have at least a tiny bit of necromatic lore...or a spell, feat, class, magic item or such.

There’s the 2nd edition Complete Necromancer’s handbook. Although it’s part of the general product line, it contains several Realmsian and Zakharan NPCs.
