Hello, I have been trying to collect an ultimate source collection of the Gods of Fury...not the individual members per se (Talos (leader), Auril, Umberlee, Malar), but how Talos actually "leads" them, or dominates them better put (?), and when and were they have ever manifested themselves as a "unit?"
Does any of the sages of candlekeep have additional source to give background and example to where the Gods of Fury do act in unison? Beyond the Sourcebooks? Maybe novels? Maybe articles from Dragon, etc? Was there ever a Gods of Fury jamboree?!? ;-)
My goal here is to acquire insight in how Talos would organize these forces of fury—and chaos!—, and how even servants of the Gods of Fury would organize or congregate.
Cheers.

They briefly got detailed in a 4e-era article on Auril, where she is listed among their number. No real info other than that they all serve Silvanus, and a cryptic shoutout to an event called the Stormstar Requiem that went underdetailed in canon; essentially saying that they had crystalized around revealing that Talos had been an aspect of Gruumsh, who they then cast out. |
4e fangirl. Here to queer up the Realms. |

I posted a thread earlier this month about the Ruathen Pantheon. The Gods of Fury are the "titans" (in the Greek mythos sense) of that pantheon.

Very interesting! Is that thread in a particular part of the Candlekeep forum? |

Simple LORE GOLD! Thank you very much.
Maybe a follow up question: is this all Lore for us players/DMs Out of Character, of would the "truth" of this ancient history be available...with Story through the generations, or...all watched over carefully in the stacks at Candlekeep?!
You also wouldn't perhaps have insight into the history or workings of the Circle of Rust and the Worm?
Cheers. |

I think it's mostly been lost, however, Illuskans are more likely than most to fear the Gods of Fury and venerate "hero-gods" like Uthgar and Valkur.

Other than what I put in Faiths & Avatars, the only other time I played with them was Under Illefarn Anew. One of the chief antagonists ...

Thank you everyone for the information and links.
It gives me plenty of resource material to add to the game play. |
