In "Sea of Fallen Stars", we have :
"Vodos, the Great Builder c. 11,000(?) - c. -10,400 DR ... disappeared into the Trench of Lopok during the time noted above, and he has never returned. At that time, he was more than 300 years old..."
and
"-9,872 DR (-9,802 TS): Garrison towers built among the Sharksteeth Mountains, with the help of Vodos the Great Builder."
(This one is also in "The Grand History of the Realms")
I couldn't find any other sources of information about him.
Any ideas on how to reconcile these conflicting dates?

It's an error and looking at Steven's draft notes, existed from the get-go and was never picked up. If you make it -10,000 to -9400 that seems to work fine. There is no other information or references to Vodos.

Master Krashos,
Are amazing things, such as those draft notes you mentioned, ever shared with the public? I would love to take a peek at something like that. So cool.
Best regards,

Best regards,
No, they're not shared with the public. And they're not an extra 60 pages of Realmslore that didn't see the light of day. I'd guesstimate that 98% of what Stevem wrote went into his products. The rest is a few stray sentences, undeveloped ideas, shorthorn descriptions, etc.

Master Krashos,
Ah, thank you for that explanation. Wow! I had no idea there was so little left over in terms of notes, etc. I am myself not a writer of such a degree, so I wasn't sure how that may or may not work. I tend to have all manner of chicken scratch for notes left over after writing stuff.
Best regards,
