I had thought I read they moved the release date of this book up to Nov. 13th. I went to the bookstore today, and they didn't have it, so I asked. She looked up on her computer and said it still wasn't due out till sometime in Dec. Bummer

I've been watching for it, too. I know it's supposed to be out; the release date was moved to pre-Thanksgiving, and the 13th was the date I was told by my editor at WotC. I did read on another message board that someone saw it available in Sydney, Australia, of all places. Be patient, it'll show.

Release Date update:
Now I'm being told the 20th instead of the 13th. Apparently, the 13th was a date that B&N had on their website, and no one is really sure where that came from (RAS also had that date on his website, but I suspect that he, like me, got it from B&N).
Anyway, sorry for the confusion, but start watching for it this week.

I had two short stories published, "Lynaelle" in Realms of Mystery and "The Star of Tethyr" in Realms of the Deep. I also wrote Gridrunner, which was set in the Star*Drive setting, and The Temple of Elemental Evil From the GREYHAWK setting. This is my first hardcover, though.

Just got the call from the book store. My copy is in! This is a small town-family owned store, so everyone else should have it by now. |

Has anybody read Insurrection yet? What are your views?
No spoilers please, just interested on how you rate the novel
BTW, who is that depicted on the cover and what is that creature? (I havent read Dissolution yet so apologies if I seem a bit stupid on that question ) |

That foul creature is Quenthel Baenre, a female drow who's a nasty, conniving high priestess.
Oh, you meant the other thing.
That's Jeggred, a draegloth. A draegloth is a half-fiend that is the product of a mating between a priestess of Lolth and a glabrezu demon. You can find more information on draegloths in Monsters of Faerun. Jeggred is Quenthel's nephew (Triel Baenre's son). He loves his aunt very much, as you can see. Brom did an outstanding job of painting this cover, IMO.

LOL Thanks for the info Thomas. Im really looking forward to starting this novel, the whole WotSQ sounds really interesting.
Do the events of your novel take place in current Realms time or is it slightly in the future? The reason I ask (although I might be jumping the gun a little here), is how this drow chaos affects the events occuring currently in the Return of the Archwizards. Does Insurrection involve the drow coming to the surface in masses yet and is there a conflict with the drow and Shade at any point? |

It's current Realms time. I'll leave the rest for you to find out; don't want to spoil anything.
