I don't think I'll be able to. Two of the three variants the Sage has designed both have at least +2 ECL which makes these race variants inappropriate for this campaign.

The third variant is still using Monte's AU rules, which are also inappropriate for this campaign.

Actually, the limit is an ECL 3 character, so you could use an ECL +2 race.

Other than the halflings, is everyone a 'powerful' race?

Ah, thanks Bookwyrm. I couldn't remember (nor could I bother checking) the ECL limit for the campaign. So there's a possibility then .

Are there any halfling PCs in this campaign?.

Two, as far as I know. Though I don't have a list, and I'm only certain about one of them. She's the halfling rogue from Amn whose picture is up on the site. (How she got to the Silver Marches at CL1 is something I'm curious about, but I don't consider it quite beyond the realm of possibility.)

Hmmmn . . . that certainly is intriguing. I wonder how such a thing is possible, but then I remember how the character level determination can be a little bizarre at times.

So, halflings are off the list then as a potential PC race. I'm looking at a modified Litorian, and Ash Genasi, and I'll decide on a third race soon, so that I have some interesting alternatives to select a character race from.

No.

As I stated previously, the race for my PC has not been determined yet. I have a class selected (Druid), and some of the other pre-character creation decisions have already been made - all that remains, is for me to decide what my PCs race is going to be.

Also, I don't think Shadowlord has his PC completely created yet either.

Indeed, I still have some work to do. I've been diligently typing out the background of Dragrin Quickblade, my halfling thief. I have the character sheet done, and need only send it to Arivia.

Pending Arivia's approval of the background, the character is ready. I'm waiting for background okay before I send the character sheet in case I have to make changes...but otherwise, I'm set.

Well, my character's sheet is done, basically. Of course, since I'm lurking for the start, I've got time to finish the background as well . . . .

My internet still doesn't work. Hopefully I can get it working next week so I can send my character sheet with Dalabrac "Dale" Shadowfoot, male halfling rogue on to you Arivia so you can see it and approve it (hopefully)

A few people have indicated that they were going to send me their characters; I haven't received anything. If you hadn't sent anything, that's fine, but I haven't received it for some reason if you did. Again, my email address is arivia1@hotmail.com .

I haven't sent it yet. You did say that the deadline was March 5th. I'm going to send it sometime this week.

May 9th, actually. Don't feel pressured-I was just trying to inform those who had done such.

March 5? Unless you are referring to March 5 2005... in which I will not wait for this campaign to start... then we have passed the due date!

Your way of stat-rolling favors the strong Arivia as I just found out when I rolled my stats 2 mins ago

I got an 8 but I could discard that one cos we had to roll 7 times

And I rolled 4 6's and had to discard the remaining 6'er. I hate discarding a 6'er So that's 1 18 for me use

A wise man from Calimport once told me: "If a merchant puts sand in the flask of oil he's trying to sell you, then he isn't trying to sell you sand..."
