I would pay to join The Sage's PbEM, although I hope it doesn't come to that.

Is The Sage planning on doing this, cause I know he is incredibly busy, and it would be taxing on his time to coach newbies. Perhaps we could start a Yahoo group or something to that effect and us new players could simply be included in the mailing list so we could just read up and learn through exposure?

Hmmm...people are actually willing to pay to join my PbEM...

Wood Elf, you should have received an 'update' email by now, along with an attachment, so you should know where you now stand in regard to the campaign.

MuadDib, I recall sending you some information about joining my game some time ago, just before I left to head east for a few days last year. If you require me to resend the information, just let me know, I'd love to have you join our game.

Ahh Sage if only I had more time. Perhaps however you will allow me to read how your game goes? I'd love to hear the story unfolding and see the players facing your challenges.

The joy to be DM. I had to bite my tounge last week when I almost tried to tell my DM what to do . Its been that long since I've DMed...

Don't worry, Elrond. Mumadar can attest to my efforts to make things make sense. I'm told it sounded like I was telling him what to do, and for that I'm sorry.

I'll send you that attachment again Wood Elf, sorry...

Oh, and you'll be familiar with the Bookwyrm and Arivia, there included in the game as well...

Elrond, I've just received confirmation that my campaign's wesbsite will soon be online, so you can follow the story there...

Ah, thank ye, Arivia. Ah, you're right. Such an abbreviation does sound bad...

Sage, I have checked my records, which at the moment consist largely of 3500 emails saying "If you wish to retrieve this damaged email, please purchase the full....blah blah" so when my .PST corrupted, it seems I lost your email :(

Would it be possible for you to resend the mail to:

alexl(at)emirates.net.ae

Would really appreciate it, this is so cool :)

I'll see what I can do MuadDib. My new OS is still having problems recognising the legitimacy of an address such as you have just provided. I'm writing some new sub-routines this weekend to correct the problem, so it most likely won't arrive until at least Sunday.

There's no need to apologise Wood Elf, I'm just a very busy Sage...

Are you building a distro from just the kernel source or something, Sage? Linux, I mean...

Oh, and for the question in the email...I have no clue, actually. I dabble all over the place.

That helps Arivia, thanks...

When I talk about creating a new OS, I'm actually talking about a completely new system, created with a new programming language of my own design. I've gone right to the roots of the core BIOS, using assembly language (which takes considerably longer to learn than most people say...) to build the basics of a new input/output system, then using my own PL to create the OS.

Afterall that, it's just a case of using sub-routines to smooth any rough edges, and add to the core OS.

It's not really as time consuming as it sounds. Most of the skills needed to undertake a project like this I learned while doing my courses through university. The design of my own PL, was part of a course-related project.

The only real-time involved in creating this, is the actual sitting-at-a-computer and incorporating the core-prog. That alone, has take me, over eight months.

That's what it's jokingly referred to around here Bookwyrm .

Incidentally, he's even asked the SAGE organisation based in Perth to take his operating system on, and perhaps market it as an alternative to some of the Australian-grown operating systems available in the country.

Elrond Half Elven, since you seem so interested in reading up on this soon-to-start campaign, I may have you visit the site I am designing. Maybe you can then look it over, and help me come up with some basic opinions (or suggestions) on the site's presentation, and user-friendly nature.

Would you be interested?.

I will take that into consideration Wood Elf Ranger. As it is, there's very little content in the site at the moment. Once more data is uploaded, I'll need more than one person to review it.

No problem I know how time consuming it is to create a website. Let me know if you need any help. I don't know what your using but most programs are pretty similar I've mainly used Homestead though. But anyways if you need any pictures or need pictures edited or anything with graphics I'm pretty good at that stuff. Otherwise I would love to have a look at it when you've got it up

Actually Bookwyrm, the Sage recommended that I list you first, as a potential reviewer for the website .

Wood Elf, as far as I know, I'm using a HTML encoding program of the Sage's own design. He wasn't satisfied with the current HTML products on the market, so he design a small one for his personal use. It's very easy actually, and in essence, there's very little to the core program anyway . . . .

That sounds much like the Sage that I am beginning to know I'm sure someday in the near future we will be buying some kind of computer based program designed by him. Who knows maybe even a whole new line of computers since he has his own OS and all

Hey Sage, I know you said we are starting with level one characters but are you going to make an ECL limit? I would like to play a weretiger which in the Monster Manual description has an ECL +3.
