Any one have a map or could at least tell me what the borders are for the old kingdom of Phalorm?

I am incorporating a return of the old kingdom in my Realms and I need to know how much land made up the realm.

Cheers.

best guess would be lost empires of faerun or the grand history of the realms.

why is being a wizard like being a drow? both are likely to find a dagger in the back from a rival or one looking to further his own goals, fame and power

Well george is your best bet for this information.

The answer is most likely going to be: it varies.

The information is spread across many sources (i recall a web enhancement for the 3e waterdeep book that may have had some in) but otherwise check out lost empires, grand history, and george and erics threads in the chamber of the sages.

The exact borders can be found in the write up of the Fallen Kingdom in FR11 Dwarves Deep. If you don't have that source let me know and I'll give you the details.

Thanks a lot, Krash. Its one of my favorite sources (love me some Dwarves!), and now I'm RE-READING IT!!!

I got work to do! {grumble grumble}

As an aside, as I am re-reading the section on the 'lost kingdoms' (and have now decided to create a separate geography document just for dwarven kingdoms), Dareth... whats up with that?

Dwarves from Delzoun(?!) trekked all the way there when their kingdom was falling, found the place overrun by draconic minions, DEFEATED those minions (REALLY? the refugees did what the entire kingdom couldn't?), and then took the survivors and trekked ALL THE WAY BACK to the Delzoun region and founded Sundabar?!!!

Okay, I can understand liking going for 'long walks', but ummm... JUST WOW. I guess that was before The Horde product came out, and we found there were two other (prosperous) Dwarven Realms right nearby. Non-Eastern dwarves, mind you (there is a group of those as well).

I thought it was dwarves from delzoun went to dareth. Helped save the dwarves there from dragons, renamed the mountain after them, then left to go and become the inauglarkuritt.

I didnt think they came back.

Im sticking a dwarven realm in anauroch before -5000 dr to act as a historic link between dareth and the savage frontier

Yeah, I think GK (maybe with help from Eric) did a 'patch job' on that bit of lore, mostly in the GHotR.

Because the way it was originally written, it went like this...

"Oh noes! Me kingdom is falling! I could run south with everyone else, but instead hamma gonna travel 2000+ miles to a fabled kingdom of the dwarves that may not even be there for succor!"

"Oh noes! Theys is under attack by a horde of dragons and their minions! Me gonna whip out my rusty axe (that did me absolutely no good against the far less powerful threats back home) and kill 'em all! There, thats done! Me and me five brudders killed all them hordes of minions! Almost broke a sweat, we did!"

"Oh noes! Seems like the dragons themselves are still around to contend with (and lord only knows that only a tiny band of adventurers can kill a dragon, not an entire kingdom - thems the rules!) Come with us, Dareth-dwarves, back to our lovely home to the the FAR west! We got cheesecake!"

"Oh noes! We forgot our home sucks too! All these nasty-bads are poopin' all o'er the place! Hey Dareth-Dwarves, how about we build us a nice, safe surface town, in the middle of everything, instead of going someplace hidden like say... UNDERGROUND? Our sheer hubris at their might should scare the d'linkrz out of them!"

And in time, the Darethians decided they liked Sundabar, but humans would make for better neighbors and allies, and told the idiot Delzoun dwarves to leave... and they did, marching up into the Great Glacier one last time (having already crossed it TWICE), they became the Inauglarkuritt, which in dwarven mean "We are the special dwarves".
