For the past 10 years i have called a place called sojourn home.
Sojourn Mud is a multi user dunegon based on tsr's forgotten realms.
its world is large, and challenging and there are many people exploring its realms at all times. You would be welcome to drop by anytime. The mud can be found by telneting to torilmud.org port 9999 if you are unfamiliar with telnet please feel free to email me and i will help you with it, and talk to you about options in finding a mud client.
