I'm currently creating some artifacts for my DM to be used in our adventure. One of the items he requested was to have the symbols for the eight schools of magic on it. Unfortunately I'm having a very hard time finding them. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

Should you have access to it, the Neverwinter Nights User's Manual has the symbols you seek, but that is the only place I can recall seeing them in 3rd Edition D&D.

The Chosen of Vhaeraun
"Nature is governed by certain immutable rules. By virtue of claw and fang, the lion will always triumph over the goat.Given time, the pounding of the sea will wear away the stone. And when dark elves mingle with the lighter races, the offspring invariably take after the dark parent. It is all much the same. That which is greater shall prevail. Our numbers increase steadily, both through birth and conquest. The dark elves are the dominant race, so ordained by the gods." Ka'Narlist of the Ilythiiri.

Well met, Shadowlord.
I did find another paper copy last night in the 2nd Edition PHB, unfortunately I was hoping to find a jpeg or some other electronic image. I will however check the Neverwinter Nights User's Manual perhaps their's will be a better image (I forgot how dreadful the artwork was in the 2nd edition books).

I hear that the NWN manual is in electronic format on the game CD or in the install directory, you could always get the symbols from there if they are suitable.

Yes, subfolder 'docs' I believe. The manual's a PDF, but you can capture part of the image and paste it in Paint or another image processing program, so as to have them all on the same section.

Download the brickfilm masterpiece by Leftfield Studios! See this page for more.

Well met.
I will pull them from the disk then. I was unaware that the treasure I sought was already in my posession.
My DM and I both extend our humble thanks.

No problem. Always eager to help, as they say....
