Hi,
Been working on converting the characters and weapons of the Dark Elf Series to 3.5 and am currently working on Charon's Claw (Artemis's new toy). Currently, I've statted the sword as follows:
+3 Smoking* (Intelligent) Longsword of Wounding
Alignment (most probably) NE
Telepathy (appears to lack the ability to speak or read);
120 ft. darkvision and hearing
Greater Power: grants its wielder the use of the Blacklight** spell (probably 3/day)
Special Purpose (not apparent) : Defeat Wielder if held without the Glove?
Dedicated Power: Slay Living (on weilder on failed Ego Check).
* Smoking is in the Lords of Darkness Accessory
** Blacklight spell is in the FR Campaign Setting
So far, this is what I got from the Servant of the Shard. For those who read the 2 other short stories, were there any other powers displayed by Charon's claw?

| hmm... i'm not sure and can't remember specifics... is it sentient like Catti-brie's Khadzea (sp?) to where ya'd have to roll will save or it makes you go berserk and attack anything and everything alive nearby? |

Charon's Claw's Blacklight seems to work a bit differently from the spell in FRCS, which blocks every vision- while that sword's Blacklight blocks only darkvision (at least it worked that way while encountering Domo in the sewer...).
I think it should have +4, not only +3 bonus.
And btw... could You describe a Smoking weapon power for me? I'm from Poland (so forgive my bad English  ) and I'm also working on converting some stats, but I don't have access to LoD Accessory... I'd be very thankful  |
