Hail and well met, please call me Gene. Some of you I know by reputations, others I met at the GenCon get together last year, but mainly Wooly Rupert and I have been tormenting each other since we were pups. In the coming days, I hope to get to know more better, and perhaps ask for advice as I am getting into the game again for the first time since my wisdom teeth came in. Be safe and have fun, and looking forward to finding out if many of the tales are true.

Wow... It only took about about 7 months for him to carry out his threat of signing up here!

Callmegene is the person who introduced me to Dragonlance, which was my gateway to the Realms.

The very first time I ever played D&D, Gene's thief and my thief were breaking into a Waterdhavian mansion. Later that session, myself and the DM somehow went off on a tangent rhyming words like "how now, brown cow," which proved so annoying to Gene that he mimed hitting us -- with the unfortunate sound effect of "Pow!" (He buried his face when the DM and I said "Wow!" and "Ow!" in response )

And until I got into Pathfinder, Gene was in every game I was playing; often with his and my character working far too well together to annoy and frustrate the DM.

So yeah, we go back a ways.

And he's heard many tales from here, too.

So I am dispensing with my normal response and welcoming my friend with a hearty "It's about time!"

Oh, and "Hi, and welcome to the 'Keep!"
