Started and finished Horselords yesterday, very enjoyable. Especially like the priest of the Red Mountain caharacter.

Starting Dragonwall today.

I'm reading The Stowaway. It's not a long book, I just haven't had much time to read it lately.

Finished Crusade, which actually did alot to explain why Princess Alusair never settled down. I did not know that she was in love with a young priest who ended up being killed by bounty hunters trying to return her to Cormyr.

Started Pool of Radiance, am slowly catching up on the oldies I missed the first time around!

Just started 'Condemnation'. Already noticed a subtly different portrayal of Pharaun and Valas speaks! (Instead of just going around hamstringing everyone... :) )

Hello all. I'm brand new here. Started reading FR back in mid February with Homeland and haven't looked back. I've read 52 so far plus a number of short stories picking and choosing here and there from the anthologies.
- Everything RAS (including WotSQ & The Stowaway)
- Starlight and Shadows Trilogy
- Lady Penitent Trilogy
- The Gossamer Plain
- The Sembia Series
- Erevis Cale Trilogy
- The Crimson Gold
- Mistress of the Night
The problem I'm starting to have is that I feel like I have to read all books that are even remotely linked (through characters, geography, etc.) in chronological order. I know that I don't have to, but it's an OCD thing I guess. Hence Drizzt-Starlight and Shadow-Cadderly-WotSQ-Lady Penitent-etc. and Sembia-Cale-Crimson Gold-Mistress of Night. Next in line would be Shadowbred, except that I found out that at least one prominent character also featured in The Return of the Archwizards trilogy, which I understand is loosely tied to Elminster. So, I just started The Making of the Mage after completing a brief Drizzt interlude with The Pirate King.

These forums and Candlekeep in general is fantastic. Keep up the great work.

Sembia series was great and Cale series is my favorite realms series so far. If you want to continue with other characters from the Sembia series you can try Crimson Gold, which is centered around Thazi (not a great book IMO but worth the read anyway) and Mistress of the Night, which is centered around Feena from Black Wolf (thought the book was excellent). They both take place between the first Cale trilogy and the Twilight War trilogy but can obviously be read at any time.

I finished Blackstaff Tower, and it was typical of Steven's work, and by that I mean awesome. Although set in the new Realms, there were plenty of references to the Realms I know and love to make me happy. I also read Horselords and Dragonwall, and I am starting on Crusade. Oh, I am also reading "The Pirate King" and it's ok.

Finished The Temptation of Elminster. Having read the first three El books back to back in The Annotated Elminster I enjoyed them quite a bit. The annotations helped me to understand why Greenwood writes the way he does, leaving a lot of loose ends dangling and jumping forward a lot in the timeline. They definitely added to the experience.

Now starting Escape from Undermountain.

I thought it was a good light read. There wasn't a high level of intrigue or even character development, and there certainly wasn't anything realms shaking. But it was fun, which was good enough for me.

Just began Insurrection. Valas, Ryld and Pharaun really seem to become parts of my prefered characters.
Writing about this opus, I added a question about a "suspected-failed" transition between two chapters in one of the Insurrection thread : http://forum.candlekeep.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11575
If you have any idea about that,...
