I'd go with Shadows of the Avatar -- mostly because it's by Ed, but also because it adds a little more depth to the Time of Troubles plot as a whole.
Agreed--those books were very entertaining. |

Forsaken House.... really good books in a really good trilogy. But then again, I avoid most of Greenwood's writing. Then again, The Rage was really good as well.

Heck...I am still stuck at the beginning of Elfsong. And it may be because I can't get over Elaith with a goatee on the cover. But its funny because I got through Elf Shadow reasonably unscathed. :)
I am also stuck at Chapter 2 of Silverfell. I sort of lost interest after Chapter 1.
I got through the Dark Elf and Icewind Dale trilogies and through Forsaken House though. Yay me. |

I have read almost every FR Novel, minus a few of the newer ones, but that will soon be corrected. |

Shoot.. it's hard for me to find time anymore to read books. When I was in Boston for 2 weeks on business, I was able to read Legacy of the Drow again and was going to start on the Azure Bonds trilogy again as well. It just seems like there is not enough time to read anymore - with two dogs, and a job that needs overtime a lot. Oh well, I will still slug on by.

The older cover is worse though--just look at Danilo's face!
Reading and enjoying Counselors and Kings right now. I'm already on the second book. This is another series that has sat unread in my closet too long. |

Keep in mind that both the Forgotten Realms and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons comics were set in the Realms. The characters for both were written up in 2E stats in Dragon, too, circa issues 246 and 247. I think the only one that's been fully updated to 3E was Kyriani, from the AD&D comic (half-sister of Priam Agrivar, from the FR title). |

Finished a couple of days ago Daughter of the drow, book that lasted me 4 DAYS!!! And I must say (Don't trying to offence), that Liriel performs the renegated drow in a way I liked more that other one popping into mi mind right now, and must add, she is such a delicious char, I think I have finally found my most ever and not gonna change anymore favourite char in the Realms, and I want to add that Fyodor results a much more interesting char that I thought at first, he is not the typical Rashemen barbarian (without hamster ), I love them both (but specially Liriel, should I join CF-B in his evil elvish chicks passion?...) Now I am reading Silver Shadows. |

The only book I'm missing at the moment is "Murder in Halruaa". Does anyone know where to get it as softcover? (I really hate reading hardcovers because of their size). |

I've seen the odd copy on Ebay from time to time. Additionally, you could try several 2nd hand book exchangers online -- they may have a copy they can send you.

Tifus and I finally purchased some of the novels....We have the first two of the Elminster series, Shadowdale, and the collectors copy of the Cleric Quintet (I prefer to buy sets like that, takes up less room on the bookshelves) |
Ack! I seem to have too much blood in my coffee stream!

Ditto. :( |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

That's not terribly likely. I got A's in my high school Spanish, but that was long ago and I've forgotten most of it...
Besides, I may have to wait on the novels, but my FLGS is good about getting the sourcebooks in on time. I'm usually one of the first to have the new stuff. |

Pleased to chat with you whenever you want... and the last time I checked it the tomes lasted 2 years in arriving here. |

Or Australia for that matter .
I'm still trying to work out how I can be the most productive with the Book Club that's starting up.

Yes, I got Whisper of Waves yesterday (one day before the official release) just because I asked a sales person about it.
I won't start reading it until after Promise of the Witch-King, though. |

Well, with the master of the premises staring at me with those beady eyes, how can I say no? As long as we can read the book at our own pace (I usually plough through a Realms-book I like in about 3 to 5 hours), I'd be happy to join in. |
