So, the new edition makes it very clear that genies are in fact "born" from mortal souls that somehow combine/meld with the elements (with little to no memory of their previous existence). This makes me wonder, do worshippers of Kossuth/Istishia/Grumbar/Akadi perform rituals intended to join themselves with the elements before they die? Do they hope to be reborn as genies? Are Jann (who aren't in the MM) actually beings fail to adhere strongly to one element and instead draw upon all the elements? Do genasi stand a greater chance of being "reborn" as genies related to their element?

It also makes note that genies cannot propogate their race via intercourse within their own species. Does this in any way negate any existing lore we have? It might explain WHY they are so keen on making genasi IF genasi are more likely to be reborn as genies.

On a side note, in my viewpoint, this makes all genies a form of "primordial" being to a degree, just with a lot less power.

Alavairthae, may your skill prevail
