Hello everyone. I'm pretty new to D&D, and even newer to the Realms. Though in my mind, the Realms are what D&D is all about, so when I decided to plunk down my hard-earned pennies on the Core Books, the FRCS was my very next purchase.

I'm thrilled to have found this site in my search for more knowledge on the Realms. I love reading the Compendiums, and I'm sure I'll be bothering you all with silly newbie questions soon enough. But for now I'm going to immerse myself in these great tomes of knowledge.

Thanks!

Hello :)

Currently I'm involved with NWN projects (only NWN1 as they botched NWN2 IMO). I still read a lot of the PnP books, but haven't found a like minded PnP group in years. Been putzing around with D&D for about 20 years or so.

Now on to me, I love to read and write. I also have many ideas for some homebrew items for playing in the dnd campaigns. Nice to meet you all.

Hello. I'm new to these forums and have been lurking for about two weeks. I'm from Canada and I haven't played D&D for over 10 years. I still enjoy reading the Forgotten Realms novels and I'm starting to build up my collection of novels. After realizing how many FR novels there are now, I'm glad I never got rid of the few novels I did have. It's an adventure reading the books again. I can't put them down.

A warm and friendly Welcome to the Keep, Xaeyruudh!

Enjoy your stay and while it lasts, may the Lord of Knowledge and Binder of what is known grant you his blessing, so that you may find whatever it is you seek within these very halls, may that be old and new friends, a good laugh or simple talk for that matter.

A similar warm and friendly welcome, though a bit late, to the other new scribes here at Candlekeep as well. It is good to see that new and young scribes still flock to Candlekeep these days. Enjoy your stay dgas, ianus and Master Niaviro!

Greetings to you Altai, and welcome to Candlekeep.

Here you will find many curious questions pertaining to the extensive Realmslore of the FR setting. As well, you will also discover many fantastic answers -- some of which have even been generously provided by the Great Sages of the Realms themselves.

So please, take a look around. If you feel the need to ask a question, or to merely discuss some element of the Realmslore, then simply find the appropriate place or shelf within the library and open a scroll. One of our many knowledgeable scribes, the dedicated staff of Candlekeep, or even a visitor to these halls, will always be happy to assist you in learning more about the Realms.

See you in the library.

The "Library," as I referred to earlier, is Candlekeep itself -- the forums, the main website, etc.

Welcome Altai.

I do have a query for you however. I'm just wondering whether your signature is actually appropriate. As I understand it, the CoC here at Candlekeep tends to make a point of ensuring such political comments are left outside these halls.

Perhaps you should dismiss this with the Mods.

Maybe I should get a post in here too.

Hello people, well met.
I have been looking through the fora for a while (posting a few too).

I am Pierre van Rooden (nicknamed Gomez for obscure reasons - no, I'm not hispanic. It's an Addams family reference.)
I am the plot-coordinator for Northern Europe and Russia for the Living Forgotten Realms campaign.
The region I get to design plots and edit scenarios for is the Dalelands.

Hope I will have the opportunity to pluck your minds for ideas.
I'll also will be a-looking for authors for the campaign.

Hello,
I've been lurking on these forums for a while now and I've decided to participate.

I've been an avid reader of Forgotten Realms novels for a few years now, infact I read very little else. I am very pleased with the Author standards of this shared world, which avoids much money and disappointment when I try new authors.

I find the author interaction on these forums to be very exciting!
