As a matter of fact I'd like to put together a scroll on here consisting of Waterdeep lore and information. For everyone to see! Unless there already is one, having fellow sages add canon lore!

I'm sure there have been plenty of requests for Waterdeep lore, but I don't know if there exists a dedicated Waterdeep scroll (i.e an equivalent to the Looking For All Info About Cormyr scroll).

Were I you, I'd go right ahead and start one, either on the Running the Realms shelf or perhaps on the Sage of Realmslore shelf.

************

Some names of books and other media written by NPCs residing in Waterdeep or written about Waterdeep follow. All are taken from the list I and others worked on over at Loremaster.org in the Books of the Realms thread there:

Lines I've Lived By. Mirt of Waterdeep. Year of the Harp.
[[Greenwood, Ed (2005). Hand of Fire (Second Edition). 7]]

A Walk in My City. Kuldhas of Waterdeep. Year of Azuth's Woe (1440 DR).
[[Steven E. Schend (2008). Blackstaff Tower (First Edition). 173]]

Architects Arcane: Waterdeep and the Sword Coast North. Paerl Nhesch. Year of the Dog-Eared Journal (1424 DR).
[[Steven E. Schend (2008). Blackstaff Tower (First Edition). 258]]

Journal VII. Jorkens of Waterdeep. Year of Silent Shadows (1436 DR).
[[Steven E. Schend (2008). Blackstaff Tower (First Edition). 140]]

My Eyes Open Always: Memories of the Blackstaff. Maliantor of Waterdeep. Year of the Enthroned Puppet (1416 DR).
[[Steven E. Schend (2008). Blackstaff Tower (First Edition). 226]]

Horkle's Gossip Cauldron. Published by Annath Horkle of Beacon Street, Trades Ward, Waterdeep.
[[Greenwood, Ed. “Eye On the Realms: The Storm Bird." Dragon #411 May 2012]]

Waterdeep Wartrumpet. Publisher unknown. Waterdeep. Contributors include the social critic Markarl Mightyeye (pseudonym).
[[Greenwood, Ed. “Eye On the Realms: Rastigur Stornont." Dungeon #184 November 2010]]

Beware the Favored Tentacle.
Anonymous.
Waterdeep.
A cheap-scratch (i.e. low quality paper) chapbook. Poorly written. Distributed throughout southern Waterdeep (parts south of the Palace).
Topic: the Favored Tentacle.
[[Greenwood, Ed. “Eye On the Realms: The Storm Bird." Dragon #411 May 2012]]

Now if you don't know Kirath, he was a magic user who's bones you find in the Mind Flayer level of the game. You can have him resurrected and he will join the party.

I so love Waterdeep!

I drew inspriation from the same thing when I designed an adventure to go with "I, Tyrant." They players were not the first heroes Piergeiron sent to investigate the Beholder island. At the bottom of one of the beholder lairs was the player character of a long-missing player, turned to stone. The players revived him and he joined the party.

Disintegration is in the eye of the Beholder.

There is a dedicated lore scroll for nothing but added info from other sages to the ever growing library on Waterdeep. I have created with my fellow sages in mind, much appreciated!

Ha, nice to see that at least some of the more important people made it through the Spellplague

Now if I could just remember where I put that book...

No Canon, more stories, more Realms.
