For pets, as in actual animals or magical beasts, I would suggest the following by type
Dao (Fiend Folio): Burrowing creatures, namely (dire) badgers, moles and many other rodents, maybe some types of beetles as well, especially monstrous types.
Djinni: Aerial creatures (likely trained eagles/falcons/hawks, including the dire/giant variety), camels or cattle.
Efreeti: Magmins, Thoqquas, fire mephits, magma mephits, steam mephits, smoke mephits (Sandstorm), pyrohydras.
Khorashi (Frostburn): Any arctic creatures, frost worms, cold creatures of lawful alignment.
Marids (Fiend Folio): Any aquatic creatures, particularly those of chaotic alignment. |
