From forgotten realms wiki The order was dedicated to healing and protecting the sick, innocent and weak. Its members were generally peaceful and always try to help, rarely did they seek out evil to destroy. They were not pacifists, and would not hesitate to fight when confronted by evil. Still, members basically felt their role was more toward healing and protection than battle
What type of role do clerics, paladins, and monks each play in this order?
I think all if them would be natural doctor and physicians ( healing through faith, medicine, etc) first then changes their role when danger happens?
I am trying to develop the concept of a paladin healer (doctor) that becomes the classic paladin when the weak are harmed.
Is this completely lore breaking?

Well, I do not see a Paladin readily dedicated to healing as prime directive. That Evil Avenger was only wounded, so now needs to be healed. So the Paladin gets to heal patient then duty bound to smite Evil.
Only way something close to this idea was the Silverhair knights, that dogma might be adjusted. WotC of course in their wisdom and customer service has either deleted or hidden the link to the content. |
"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards." "Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding. "After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."
