::...snicker...:: You know, who would have thought that the first time I mentioned a 'Staff of the Irritated Moderator', that it would carry on, and start to generate a life all it's own...
It was so long ago now, that I can't even remember which scroll I first spoke of it in...

Thanks for clearing that up Sage. I didn't realise that the Astral Plane is timeless.
This is the first time I've heard more details about the Staff of the Irritated Moderator. Say Alaundo, about these affects that the staff has on it's victims... does it cause any brain damage? I've whacked on the noggin with it once or twice and I have been rather forgetfull lately. |

I believe it was this post, my dear Sage.
And you can make an epic staff with an enhancement of up to +10. Even if Alaundo doesn't have Craft Epic Armor and Weapons, perhaps he's adding something like a shocking burst feature, to use as a cattle prod or --
Maybe I shouldn't have said that . . . . |

You know, Bookwyrm, if you keep giving him ideas, what's to stop him from placing magical shackles upon us that only allow us to work on tomes! Quiet yourself, dragon! Dah, now you've got ME giving him ideas! |

::Hmms to himself, waiting til everyone looks away, then he pulls out his 'borrowed' Staff of the Irritated Moderator +5 and whacks all the 'idea-givers' up-side the back of their heads to knock them unconcious... then quickly hides the staff in his TrenchCloak.:: Soo... Alaundo... where is this new Staff of yours... i'd like to us... um *cough* see the new and improved staff... |

New and Improved Staff Alaundo??? I didn't think all these newbies were giving you this much trouble. Well if you need any help you can always rely on Dragon Slayer Lina to back you up, for a price that is. |

Actually it's 'Dragon Spooker', our dear resident dragon... The title means: "Dragons step past out of clear revulsion" |

What about you, Alaundo? You've lasted a long time in the Realms -- what's your secret? Plenty of exercise and a heathy diet? Or just having lots of scribes around to order about? |

Well the downright cheek of some Scribes today! Alas, my fingers are almost down to bone, so you get back to your studies, Bookwyrm, and help this poor, aged, old Scribe out, eh! |

Is there such a thing as Lichdom for clerics and Druids? We know the arcane spellcasters get lichdom, and elves have their version of a lich (Bael???? we simply can't remember the name at this point in time). But isn't it time that the divine spellcastersget their own immortality... after all if your god dies (time of troubles) wouldn't one rather not face the one who killed them? |

::hmms softly and grins to himself at the half-month run of off-topicness occurs...:: Hmm... it appears that those that are 'ever-living' are also inflicted with the curse of noticing things very late... ::He grins at Alaundo... then quickly ducks his head and dives behind a couch to avoid swatting:: |

I know of no Lichdom status for Druids, although the Ravenloft setting offers an interesting alternative. Druids, who have been corrupted by 'Sinkholes of Evil' can merge with undead Treants, who also thrive in these areas. This merging endows the Druid with certain abilities, some of which are similar to a low-level lich. However, the Druid is always tied to the undead Treant, and therefore cannot move more than 100ft away from the undead Treant before the Druid loses access to these special abilities.
I can go on, but as always we must watch for the wrath of Alaundo...
