Does anyone know anything about this, other what is in the library here, or is it really as rare as Amazon and eBay would lead one to believe? This is the only published Realms product I do not own pre 4th ed, in either pdf or hard copy.
I know the basis of the catacombs series, but are there NPC's? Is this canon?
Mod edit: After many years, I just noticed this wasn't in the most suitable section of our shelves.

Technically, I think it has to be canon because it bears the logo, and I've never heard it come under the 'apocryphal' heading the Double Diamond series did.
If you are asking if it was any good - I liked it. Played through it once, and it was fun. I can't recall how much 'new Realmslore' was contained therein, but it felt like I was running all over (and under) Waterdeep.
I had photocopied the last page (the one you needed to write on) just so I wouldn't destroy the book in any way. Lot of good that did me. |

Thanks Markustay. Trying to find a copy is a pain. Sorry to hear about yours. |

There are references to it in Volo's Guide to Waterdeep.
I've bought it off eBay at least twice (like Markus, I lost my first copy in a fire). I don't see it on there often, but I wasn't aware it was all that rare -- just long out of print. |

It is, compared to other pre d20 books, pretty hard to find and expensive when you do. I found 2 on eBay and a few on Amazon. |

All the ones I keep finding run around $40, which is why I say expensive. I have a lot of pre-3e stuff, but I haven't spent more than $20 on any of it - Hell, I picked up a complete Waterdeep box set for $15. But this adventure... |

Looks like I might have to as well. Have found just about every other TSR product in a pdf, including one of the trading card sets. Not this or any of the others from that series, except Gnomes-100...

Excellent, I was hoping you were the one that got it. When it was getting to the last day with no bids, I was more than a little tempted to go for it, myself! |

You might be surprised at how much you are really missing, lol. I find Realmslore in the strangest places (like the Spelljammer module Greyspace).
I hear from a lot of authors that a good 25-33% of what they write for an article or sourcebook never gets used - the infamous 'cutting room floor'. I have been privy to a couple of 'full versions', and its a damn shame so much is lost over the years.
In the case of Ed-generated FR lore, that figure is probably closer to 90-95% - all sparkling gems the world may never get to enjoy. |

Oh I know. Cutting room floor stuff is stuff I do not count in that total. I did go through everything from Ed's early Dragon submissions on, including Spelljammer (I have a complete TSR/WotC library on my computer). You are one of the lucky ones who gets ahold of 'full versions'. Really want to get to GenCon for the Dragonspear module, but odds are its not going to happen. |

Forgot (and I cannot figure out how) about Living City...the actual tournament modules. Have the Living Jungle ones, but forgot about Living City until now. Well, it can't be harder than LG to find. |

I know his may be resurrecting a long dead topic, but I was wondering if anyone with a copy of this has an online scan of the perforated page (the character sheets and time record)? I've got the original book and been dying to play through it, but the perforated page is gone (inherited this from my older brother, btw). Haven't been able to find any scan of it anywhere and since that's the only thing I'm missing I was hoping to avoid having to buy the book again. Thanks for any help! |

Let's try to remember that announcing/conducting scans of copyrighted material can land this site in some pretty precarious legal-waters. So please refrain from discussing this kind of exchange publicly.
Thank you. |

You know what just dawned on me?
It would be kinda cool if WotC (or soeone with their permission) turned this into an online thing - I think it would work even better then the original format.
You just make your choices into Hotlinks - less able to accidentally 'cheat' (see things you shouldn't) that way. |

Steve Jackson has done it with his Sorcery! books. Two apps released so far and I've enjoyed both.

Does anyone know if this has ever been made available for purchase online again? I couldn't find it with a lot of the old modules that are now available. Can't find a soft copy at all. |

I got mine years ago for a reasonable amount. Very large, complex plot. Never really looked at it for lore mining but will one day.
