Hi all,
I thought that I had read that Waukeen appeared from the Chondalwood during the ToT.
I swore I had read that in some piece of lore.
However...I'm not sure it's true anymore. Or, ever was as I can't find it.
Now, I decided I wanted a campaign in Chondath, and have heavily based it on the idea that's where Waukeen appeared.
I may have had that idea, and just swiped/substituted it for this area, as this was a place I wanted to explore.
So, just curious to find out if anyone knows how wrong I am, or what book I mayhaps did pull it from.
Thanks!

| I'm not familiar with anything that places her there... Faiths & Avatars says she was not seen by mortals during the ToT. For Duty & Deity says she met Lliira near Shadowdale, the two went to the Celestial Staircase there, at which point Helm told them to take off. So they went to Cormanthor, and from there Waukeen escaped from the Realms but wound up as the unwilling guest of Graz'zt. |

I'm with Wooly; that doesn't sound familiar. Maybe you saw it in someone's discussion of a homebrew campaign?
Could be an interesting idea. Once upon a time there was a lot of money and trade in Chondath... I can easily see her appearing in Arrabar. |

What is sure is that her Church is most prominent in Chondath.

It does make sense for her to appear there, but if she did, it wasn't reported anywhere...
That said, in a home campaign, you could either chuck canon out the window entirely, or bend it somewhat. For the latter, have her appear somewhere in Chondath, spend some time there, and then disappear. You could have her meet Lliira somewhere in Chondath, instead of Shadowdale, and have her leave for her aborted journey across the planes from there.
It might even be something interesting to use in a campaign set during the ToT: she's there, it's a big deal, and then she one day disappears without a trace. |

Yeah, I knew about the hiding, and the stuff with Graz'zt, but I think I just cobbled together other items just to make it fit so I could do more with Chondath.
Some lore says that Waukeen's presence is larger in Amn, but with my PC going after the clergy of the Waukeen, I mixed until I had what I wanted. Also helped to make her more prominent over Helm in the Region, as well as the druids in the Emerald Enclave. |
