My first post

Hi everyone; this is an effort to "update" the powers of the Realms with the many, many new domains from the various splatbooks and even Dragon magazine. I've also taken the time to edit some of the canon deity domains to better represent them (in my opinion, at least).

I'm not going to use any sort of limit when assigning domains; a demipower with many tiny portfolios is going to have more domains than a greater deity with only one specific area of influence.

So please, tell me what you think.

Just to note; if anyone has the Complete Book of Eldritch Might by Monte Cook, feel free to give Milil the Music domain.

The worry I would have would be how many of these domains offer free feats or class abilities? I'd have to take a heavier look at that, otherwise you'll have people cherry picking a deity in order to say break the rules for a prestige class somehow, or get a feat much easier than they would some other way. My first thought was to make sure that noone had both the planning and undeath domains, as that would open up extend spell and extra turning for free (which when combined with persistent spell and divine metamagic and easy metamagic <dragon #325> can make for some interesting results... not necessarily rules breaking mind you... but there may be some feat/domain combos that are).

Alavairthae, may your skill prevail

Did you intentionally leave out some deities, such as those from the "deminhuman" pantheons? And Amaunator isn't dead; Lathander underwent the transformation and became Amaunator around the time of the Spellplague? I'm not trying to demean your work--some obvious thought went into it--I'm just wondering why you left out other pantheons, and deities like Mask and Deneir are (currently, hoping that changes) dead. Then again, that only matters if your list is specific to the post-Spellplague era. As far as I'm concerned, the "dead" deities live on!

I never used the 4e realms, and I still run 3.5e. Amaunator is dead and gone, Mask and Deneir are alive and well.

I'll post the non-human, Mulhorandi and Untheric Pantheons soon.

Lord of Bones noted the source above in his opening post. The Beguilement Domain was detailed in DRAGON #312.

Why was the Domain of Spiders, which was assigned at least in 3.5, removed from Selvetarm?

I've lost track of recent realmslore, since my campaigns are still in the 1370ies. :-)
---
When talking about rules (and related stuff) I always refer to 3.5e unless explicitly noted.

Did you assign the domains out of Complete Divine to their Realms equivalent?

Oh, all right, I see. I'm not too fond of the changes 4e made with the gods myself (I preferred Lathander to Amaunataur), but I was just wondering.
