Since WoTC has started releasing their novels in ebook format I have been updating and completing my novel collection. I buy epub books only, I don't have a kindle. I have bought all those I could but the problem is with The Pirate King, Promise of the Witch King and Road of the Patriarch.

First with Pirate King, the formatting is all wrong, there is no table of contents, the filesize is really low compared to other epub books from WoTC. It's around 400kb compared to 2-3mb for the other books.

Promise of the Witch King and Road of the Patriarch aren't even available in epub format at all. This is a problem because I really like those books but there is no way for me to read them.

I tried emailing WoTC about this but the only answer I got was "We do not have any information regarding unannounced future releases or offerings". Does anyone know why these books are problematic? I mean R.A. Salvatore is the most popular writer WoTC has in terms of sales, so why not make all of his books easily available for all to read?

Also, I'm nitpicking, but I found it pretty annoying that the Legend of Drizzt Anthology was missing a short story, called "Empty Joys". If you go to the trouble of making a collection with short stories written about Drizzt (and supporting cast), then can't you include them all? Especially when all you are missing is only one short story.

Anyways, thanks for the help guys!

If you want to read them and don't want to wait for the E-book then you will just have to do it the old-fashioned way and go to the bookstore.

I suggest you go to the WotC forums and let them know that you want ePub versions. That is probably a good place to let them know about poor formatting as well.

WotC should implement adding codes for free E-book downloads when you purchase a hard copy of a book. Many (if not all) companies do this for blu-ray movie purchases.

Great idea. Even I would happily read an e book then.
Or at least they could give us a discount or something.
