Hi, friends!

Well, I collect, produce and alter internet pictures of places and creatures to show my players in my FR Campaign, but lost some nice pics when a trojan horse infected my pendrive, before I could transfer them to my PC.

I tried to recover some of the lost pictures, especially one with some wizard kids around a statue of a cloaked woman with a dragonet atop it (it is related to a book series, I think), and another of a small adventuring party in a forest, descending into a door of sorts leading to a dungeon (and I think there is at least one small globe of light cast by the wizard). Could you help me finding those pictures again?

I'm also taking suggestions of good fantasy picture sites, even though some of them will not open in my workplace and others have poor search engines...

I can't really help; I've not found many good fantasy pics, online. I'd be interested in seeing what others post, though.

Most of my looking online for pics has been looking for nice anime wallpapers. Other than that, most of my picture searches have been for specific subject matter.

Try out this site. It has some good stuff but not really realms related.

Thank you, Thauranil! I'm not looking for Realms-related art only, although I have copied some images from Wizards. I'm getting my images in Pen & Paper, DeviantArt, and sometimes Elfwood, or photos from some weapons, places or backgrounds. Sometimes I scan my books, or get pictures from my PDFs. However, I still haven't found the specific pics I mentioned above. Anyway, I'm very glad for your tip!

How about the other sages, any clues about the pics I mentioned?

How did you locate the original files that you lost? If from a friend, they can likely provide them again. If from another computer, you could always check the browser history to get back to the original site. Just make sure you use the right browser -- I recently spent two hours going back and forth in the history of two browsers, trying to find a site I'd been on a couple weeks before -- and then I finally realized I had three browsers on that computer!

DeviantArt is one of the better ones, if looking for a specific type of image, but you could also try to google the images- though that might take a while, if they were obscure to begin with. I'd suggest being as specific or detailed as possible in the search bar, to try to narrow it down. Sometimes Photobucket has some good stuff, but it's hard to find what you're looking for at times, unless you have a link to a specific image.

A player from our group also collects pictures, only those that he likes. They were used for campaigns, if you want I could upload them somewhere, it's a few gigabytes I think.

@Wooly: I could search in browser history, but the research for the images was made mostly by Google Search, and during months. Well, I got a lot of work to do...
EDIT: Unfortunately, as I guessed, I've cleansed the browse history some time ago, when the computer was slow.

@BEAST: oh, I do browse my favorite artists gallery, from times to times. I just think THOSE specific pics are not there. But thanks for the links... I also like Elmore and DiTerlizzi, among others.

@Alystra: thank you for the tips.

@Dennis & Dalor Darden: thank you for the galleries.

@Quale: It's a nice idea, where could you upload them? I think I am linked to dropbox (even though there is a long time since I signed in there), or maybe we could use Gmail...

Yeah, I loved Elmore's gallery. It used to have the original cover art for The Crystal Shard and a pic of a blonde ranger dude getting surprised by a water weird, which elicit strong nostalgic feeling for me.

But it appears his site is down right now. And I really think that your missing pics were from his work.

Brom's gallery used to have a lot more stuff in it, but it barely has anything in it, now.

Tumblr.com really has the image market dominated. It can be hard to find what you want but here are two that I follow:

http://oldschoolfrp.tumblr.com/
http://editionwars.tumblr.com/

On each post you can then see who reblogged the image, and they might then have a similar theme. You can also type in things like "orc", "elf", "planescape", "elminsiter", "wizard", etc. to find images.

It worked, thank you! I've checked half of them this far, and had almost none (and never seen a lot of them).
