I really liked that article... I wonder if he really is the blood of beholders, or if there is some other explanation for his unusual attributes... I'd ask, but I expect that this question that Ed can't (or won't) answer. Sometimes the mystery is more fun and/or more useful. |

Bad pun. I like!
After reading and re-reading this article a few times, it seems to me that he isn't really all that sure of his lineage...but again that ties into the added layer of intrigue that Ed is so famous for... |

Yes, I realise that now.
Still, for later compilation purposes, I'll leave my link as is... it makes it easier for me to collect all the links when I just have to look for my posts. |

One of the best ones yet! |
"These things also I have observed: that knowledge of our world is to be nurtured like a precious flower, for it is the most precious thing we have. Wherefore guard the word written and heed words unwritten and set them down ere they fade . . . Learn then, well, the arts of reading, writing, and listening true, and they will lead you to the greatest art of all: understanding." Alaundo of Candlekeep |

Whoops!
I emailed that one to myself from work... to remind me that I'd need to update the listing here afterward. I just forgot to remove the email link address as well. |

That article gave me the inspiration to write up five NPCs tonight. They're all named "Worwand" and I'm still figuring it all out, but this is a good problem to have.
Bedtime. |

Bedtime.
It made me think how it would make an interesting One Unique Thing in a 13th Age version of the Forgotten Realms for a wizard to be able to say, "During my time as an apprentice, one particular tome spoke to me in a voice I knew to be Azuth's. When I replied I found my hand marked with a unique silver glyph and I had an understanding that this comprised the first part of the legendary Lost Spell of Azuth." |

You guys . . . we'll just have to settle this my way: in bed, with warmth and a lot of honey to slide around in as the two of you wrestle for supremacy...with me as the gameboard and gasping scorer. LOVE, THO |

I should prefer to skip the part about Sage being there, and just stick with you, the bed, and the honey. |

Forget the honey... and the Furry Hamster.
Perhaps I could interest you in some "Zzar wrestling," my lovely lady, as described way back in DRAGON #320?
As I recall, the Lady K once challenged you to a duel by Zzar, some years ago...
I'll just sit back and watch. |

A rumored bit of lore about the events leading to the battle of Thazalhar is that there were a large number of these slaying fever outbreaks within the major cities of Mulhorand and Murghom. Ironically, its rumored the same thing also happened during the rise of the Theurgist Adepts, only in different places in the cities. Its also rumored that there were several such outbreaks in Halruaa that were being looked into by the wizard Omm Hlandrar in the early 800's DR. |

Other mod edit: changed the URL, since gmail doesn't offer much D&D content.
Stories of the sighing lady appearing and taking men's "third leg" are unconfirmed.... though it is rumored that there is a merchant making a killing selling "dangle-wards" which are to be hung from one's belt. |

The newest forging the Realms article takes us back below Faerûn's surface to explore The New Underways.
The Sage will be along in a bit to duplicate this post. |

You know whats funny? I was going to post that exact same thing (line of reasoning) after you posted the last one...
But then I said, nah... give the guy a break. A short time later, he did precisely that.

Okay, my bad. I didn't recognize this one, or check the date... For once, I'm trailing the Sage on this one -- it was posted back in February. |
