Ezindir, you should quote Agent Smith from 'The Matrix', 'cause I believe that's where it came from.

Well, that's where the quote itself comes from. The sentiment's been used before. |

I don't think she was actually quoting Agent Smith. |

Humans are not disease they are virus. They just destroy and suck on the producers. Yes, we are. We give nothing to this world but artificial environments and pure destruction of living just to be more artificial. That's what we are so we will do what we had always supposed to do. |

Roewyn has it right. Humans are more like viruses than a disease. You can find a cure for diseases while viruses are more hardier, less easy to destroy laying dormant and resurfaces to wreak more havoc. |

Hmm...for a second there, I thought both Lina and Roewyn might be followers of En Sabah Nuhr...the Highlord Apocalypse. But then I remembered that this is the Realms, and ancient mutants born at the dawn of civilisation just doesn't sit right in a fantasy setting...

En Sabah Nuhr? Highlord Apocalypse? Hmm. Would it be anything think like... Let me check my notes... Ah there it is. The Lost God know as " The Dark God" .... Don't look at me... I'm just looking at an FR Compendium... Version 3 ... But I am curious as to what the Lost gods are, what this En Sabah Nuhr is and who the Dark God... was is... will be... whatever... anyways I'll look for an answer in One of the other documents pertaining to gods. I'll let you decide which one. Now to flee before I am smacked for off topicness... |

Actually, the reference I made about En Sabah Nuhr was based on the ancient mutant enemy of the X-Men from Marvel comics. Both Lina's and Roewyn's talk of humanity being a disease/virus sounded almost identical to Apocalypse's chant of 'Survival of the Fittest'...
Anyway, back to missing scribes...What is the latest on William of Waterdeep...?

Actually, the flashback that was shown at the end of the X-Men: Evolution cartoon series (in my opinion the best version of X-Men ever made) rather reminded me of Mulhorand. Of coures, Mulhorand's history reads like the last large encounter with Earth that Toril ever had, and anyway, it's obviously Egyptian. But the point is, when I was watching that, I was thinking that you'd only need very little work to change that to a Realms legend . . . .
Not that I'm suggesting a Realms/X-Men crossover. Now that's tacky. |

I remember an advertisement from several years ago for a crossover comic featuring The Punisher and...Archie Comics! I don't think anything is too tacky for Marvel (or WOTC, if they think they could make money off it).
I suppose we shouldn't be discussing this in Candlekeep, but in my defense I have just returned from a journey into the Far Realm and am therefore incapable of understanding the rules of this reality. |

Hmm...I remember thinking something similar at the time. Anyway, I was actually talking about the Rise of Apocalypse graphic novel that chronicled the Highlord's early days in Ancient Egypt 5,000 years ago...His rise from slave to near- demi-god status...

Well, I'm glad I wasn't the only one having that thought; though I'm not as experienced in X-History for me to have an opinion on that graphic novel.
As for tackiness . . . well, just because we know better doesn't mean that all someone else would see would be dollar signs. (Or the currency symbol of your choice.) After all, a lot of the country I'm in thinks that Sunday's special for some reason. Mostly for an over-hyped game of an over-hyped sport, whose commercials go for millions of dollars per second . . . .
Makes me want to move to the Realms. But then, a lot of things do. |

Actually, going back to talking about missing scribes...
I haven't heard that much from Mr George Krashos (even though we live very close to each other in the same country). Has anyone else heard anything...?

I haven't seen Cult_Leader or Cardinal Deimos around these halls for some time. Anyone know where they've disappeared to? |

Haven't seen him since the site went down, but Deimos is still around - lurking mainly in the Inn and the Welcome forums. I believe Cult_Leader disappeared before I came here. |

I remember from last year at Candlekeep that these few summer months tend to be a little quieter than other months due to people being away from school or wherever and therefore not having access to the internet, and also due to it being holiday season.
Im sure theyll all return soon |

However we Blame Sage He hath turned our attention from Faerun to the Planes... and More specifically Sigil. Glad too see you're still around Cardinal. I don't know if William of Waterdeep will ever visit us as last I heard he had some major life changes. What a bummer. (A sad/crying emoticon would really come in handy here Alaundo) |

In fact, I dont believe Lady K has returned since her journey with the Sage some time ago. Did she in fact return with him at all? |

Last I heard from Sage was a week ago. Don't know what happened to the other two. |

The Sage and Bookwyrm are still around. And I saw Lady K over at the Worlds a while back. I think school is starting back up for a lot of them so they may be busy with "real" homework and such |

Almost.... The Aussie school year is March - November; which is logical when you realize that JUNE is a WINTER month there (I was never used to it, not even when I left...) September always seemed busy when I was there, though - approaching end-of-year, dealing with Internationals, and so forth. |
