I've been going back to reread the books, and of course, I've come up with new questions. Is Fayne more of a warlock or a priest? There are several references to her Feywild magic, but she also has the horns of Beshaba's faithful. And given that her father/patron is Beshaba's high priest, it would make sense that she is a priest of the same goddess. Does she multiclass? And if she is a warlock, what archfey would her pact be with?
Also, in your story "A New Purpose", it is said that Kalen stuck around Waterdeep and Downshadow for roughly a year. He makes no mention of encountering Rath again in that time, so are we to believe that Rath left Waterdeep? |

Cool! I love it when books do that for me: make me wonder about new things.

I've never thought of Fayne as any kind of priest, but that's a neat question. One can certainly be blessed by a god without being a priest. Such is the case with her. Also, Fayne's father might be a high priest (though whether he has cleric levels is another question), but she was raised by someone who was certainly not a priest.
She is definitely a warlock, in 4e parlance. Not sure the class fits her in 3.5--there, she's more of an illusionist. And not to be too obvious about it, but her archfey patron may simply be her Patron.

Rath was actually in prison last we saw him in Downshadow. It's probable he was there for some time--in fact, he was on the inside until a certain duel with Kalen in Neverwinter...
