Is the Wearer of Purple prestige class from Faiths and Pantheons worth taking?

Unless you have a dragon it is one of the weaker prestige classes. |

Not just any dragon, it would have to be an evil dragon or a dracolich. At which point, you'd be serving (or wanting to serve) them as a member of the Cult of the Dragon.
It's an extremely limiting prestige class. Unless you're evil and want to serve undead dragons, why would you want it?

I see. Well, if you're running an evil campaign and if he wants to join the Cult of the Dragon and spend lots of time trying to convince evil dragons to actually become undead, it sorta makes sense. He really would need to join the cult and devote his time to serving evil dragons. That's what that prestige class is for, an evil cult bent on having evil dragons dominate the whole world.
But honestly, it's just not as powerful as other prestige classes you might take instead. Even if you're doing the whole evil campaign and he really wants to join the Cult of the Dragon, he'd truthfully be better off with a more powerful prestige class.
It's one of those things that sorta sounds interesting, but isn't as beneficial as other options.

Complete Divines Eldritch Discpile (with some warlock levels), Void Disciple, Arcane Hierophant (PGtF). The amount of strong divine PrC's are too numerous to make a suggestion without you giving the build goals of the character (and the composition of the rest of the party). |
