Any ideas, how difficult it would be to update some of the Netherese and cormanthor 10th level+ spells for 3rd edition if you want to run a game in the past.
a lot of the spells tend to havesome definitively2nd edition aspects...
Would be leary in the extreme of using them in modern times, especially, with a skill roll used in place of the perentage rolls listed in cormanthor and the magister... at the least id reccomend the DM just look at the sitch and decide which he thins suits things better.
As it keeps it "mystra offeirng a special dispensation" not the wizards shee power and training, overwhleming her ban. 2nd anyid

Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved and the Arcana Evolved Spell Treasury both have 10th level spells for 3.x. I do not know how they compare to 2e 10th level spells. |

-All things considered, they'd just be real powerful spells, stronger than 9th level spells. Being "true" spells, there'd be no EXP drain to fuel them, like Epic magic, or a specific need for additional casters, so, yeah, mechanically, they'd be pretty mundane in that regard. |

If its a time travel campaign ... why not convert the time traveling pcs to 2nd edition for any moment they spend in the arcane age? |

-If he/she doesn't know the 2e rules, that makes things more of a headache. |

But if they do ... it'd really reinforce the "a different time" feeling. |

I wish they did do more Faerun epic spells.
Particularly, I am looking for a really well done Lifedrain spell. I hate it when they mentioned these artifacts and spells in the 3e FR books but never gave them stats. Ugh! |
