About 100 pages into the Black Prism by Brent Weeks, looks like it's going to be a good one

I hope it's as good as the Night Angel trilogy! I'm waiting for the Graphic Audio version myself though.

The chasing parts are starting to annoy me. And the chapters narrated by Marina, Number Seven, tend to be bland and boring. But I am still interested in finding out Henri's secrets, Six and Four's fate, and who Number Ten is, so I am going to continue reading...

Finally able to get back to reading this. Had to drop it due to my crazy schedule [which made me desperately wish that there be less criminals in the world, or at the very least, in our jurisdiction].

Someone who can heal almost anything is supposed to be cool. Why is Marina plain boring? Did Lore run out of juices when they* invented her?

[*Pittacus Lore is the pen name of two authors, (one is Oprah-controversial).]

Just finished reading Conan the Cimmerian, found it real nice. It has given me some new insight in the character of Conan, it is not so "Hulk" as I though, it gives him some intelligence and cunningness, though I find him a little "Peggy Sue" for my taste. Robert E. Howard has a simple yet really interesting way of writing.

I was able to pick up a bunch of the old Conan books by Howard/Jordan/Sprague at a great used book store here. Probably going to jump into the series soon

I recently picked up and started The Legacy of Heorot by Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle & Steven Barnes.

A friend recommended it to me, saying that I would like it. So I will give it a try.

Book 3, The Sorcerer is the best in the trilogy.

Finished it some days ago. The fun was only in the last two chapters. The rest of the chapters pretty much define what “bland” means. If the producers of I Am Number Four decide to adapt this into a movie as well, then they would need a brilliant scriptwriter to fix the book's mess.

Every beginning has an end.

I Am Jade Falcon, by Robert Thurston. 'Tis a BATTLETECH novel which, I'm surprised to discover, I haven't ever read.

I was never really enamoured with her either. But I like the way this book has started, so I'll continue for the time being.

Maybe once all the Falcon-centric stuff starts becoming unbearable, I'll take a break and start/continue with another book.

I liked that book, except the parts where Elminster's memories were randomly shown. Some were of no use to the story at all.

Alassra's wild nature seemed to be amplified to a degree in that novel. I'd pity the lowly denizens of Hells if by some twisted fate she becomes an archdevil.

I'm reading Brimstone Angels right now. I'm somewhere around page 220 or so. I like the book and would've finished it by now if I had the time to sit down and read it for more than a few minutes at a time. The twin Tiefling sisters are decent characters. The dialogue is good. It has raised a few questions for me as far as Warlocks, Cambions, and the Hells. It also has a very loose tie in to Salvatore's Neverwinter. Hopefully in the next few days I will have a little time to finish the book.

Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.

I'm in the middle of The Dragon and the George, and old fantasy classic. Good book so far, and amusing in some places!
