me n my mate use a rough spin off from standard d&d, buh we use a fair amount of info from candlekeep,
how much would be a reasonable amount to spend on a new charicter?
both of our guys are based as ex swordsman n scout from cormyr any advice would be apreciated :)

I think this should be moved to running the realms (if not deleted).

There are guidelines for wealth of a starting character, light armor. sword, shield and bow clearly should be in reach. In addition there should be some survival supplies, food, tinterbox and so on.
No starting character should start out with all needed, however should have basic supplies to live at least a week.
