I had hoped to polish this up a bit: This PrC existed only in notation form in my campaign (to give me am idea of what a given WwC was capable of).
Requirements:
Spells: Ability to cast detect thoughts as an arcane spell
Feats: Spell penetration; any item creation feat
Skills: Knowledge: Nobility and royalty (5 ranks); concentration (5 ranks); Diplomacy (4ranks)
Special: Accepted into the College of War Wizards by no less than 5 Wizards of War, including the Mage Royal
Level BAB F/R/W Spells Special
1 +0 +0/0/3 +1lv Faster Detect thoughts/ arcane det pois
2 +1 +0/0/3 " lore;gain arcane detect disease in sb
3 +1 +1/1/3 " det. thoughts as SLA 2/day
4 +2 +1/1/4 " ----
5 +2 +1/1/4 " bonus feat
6 +3 +2/2/5 " ----
7 +3 +2/2/5 " instant detect thoughts
8 +4 +3/3/5 " improved counterspelling
9 +4 +3/3/6 " analyze portal in sb; analyze bloodline
10 +5 +3/3/6/ " Create portal; Know Obarskyr:bonus feat
Class features:
Arcane Det. Poison:add detect poison to spellbook
Faster det thoughts: 1st and 2nd round results are obtained in 1 round. 3 rounds are required to gain further information
Arcane Det. Disease: As cleric spell. Add to spellbook.
Lore: as loremaster/bard class feature, but only as itapplies to Cormyr
Detect thoughts as SLA 2/day: your ongoing training in reading the minds of those about you means that you no longer need to prepare such spells in advance, or that you have more such spells in your reportoire. Cast at caster level.
Bonus feat: as Wizard class feature
Instant detect thoughts:gain all information in round one
Improved counterspelling: as the archmage class feature
Analyze portal: add this spell from MoF to your spellbook
Analyze bloodline: Sorc/wiz spell level 3: given a small amount of blood, determine all forebears and personal lineage (VSM)
Create Portal: As feat
Know Obarskyr: On sight, recognize and Obarskyr despite magical disguises, etc. As True Seeing for the Royal house of Cormyr only
Again: rough, but it's what I have right now.

An interesting PrC, Knight. I'd suggest adding another class feature similar to Know Obarskyr which would allow War Wizards (of at least middling level) to automatically recognize other War Wizards sworn to the Crown.
I don't know if it's still applicable, but here's a passage from the (circa 1358DR, post ToT) 2E FRA:
Mages [of 5th level and greater] most loyal to the Crown can, by free choice and Azoun's agreement, swear a secret oath (known to involve a geas spell cast by Vangerdahast prohibiting them from working to the harm of Azoun, his family, or the good of his kingdom), and become War Wizards in the service of Cormyr. |

| It was alisttair, but most people think that it does a poor job of describing the wizards of War as we've seen them in novels. And Arik, I will add something about the oath when I get to my laptop (I'm on my phone now). |
