I'm looking for "next" after my Pools of Darkness 1350 DR adventure. And I'm thinking I'll be sending half of the group to Desserts of Desolation (just before 1357) and the other half to Curse of the Azure Bonds (definitely 1357?).
Castle Spulzeer... that brings back memories. The last 2nd Ed campaign I DM'ed (wow... over ten years ago now) included the Realms/Ravenloft crossover adventure referenced in that quote from Lands of Intrigue, and my players from that campaign hate the colour red to this day... those of you familiar with the adventures will know why.
Playing in the Realms since the Old Grey Box (1987)... and *still* having fun with material published before 2008, despite the NDA'd lore.
If it's comparable in power with non-magical abilities, it's not magic.
I downloaded the Castle Spulzeer pdf from the Wizards website a while ago and glanced over it. It seemed to lack a real Realms 'flavour'. I might be wrong of course but it wouldn't be my first choice of adventure module or location ...

I think it has more the ravenloft flavor to it than the realmsian one. But keep i nmind that it is a cross-over, you cannot expect the same as of apurely FR-adventure.
As to when it takes place - well I don't have my books at hand. Sorry, I cannot help with this one.
