Has anyone else heard anything about a new 2ndAD&D "clone" from New Haven Games called "Myth & Magic"
I remember reading something about it on Dragonsfoot - But I'm in work & our system blocks Dragonfoot (as a gambling site!).

They released a Starter Kit for Myth & Magic for members of the community. They call it an update and slight expansion. It seems to be going over well with those who have tried it. |

There is also the OSRIC game that is fully useful with 1st Ed. AD&D too.
I love these sorts of things... |

I just took a look-over of Myth & Magic. It sure seems to borrow a lot from 3rd, but also from 1st! (Assassination anyone?) I like the idea of allowing Priests and Mages to get spells back with re-memorization, as the penalties are fairly harsh but potentially make low level casters much more viable. That said, I've never been at a loss for what to do when I run out of my one spell; start hurling daggers!
I will probably pick up the book to incorporate some of the rules when it comes out, but we'll likely stick to basic 2E with the usual slew of house rules. |

That doesn't sound so promising, what parts are rewritten/changed?
Anyway, I have more than enough 2nd edition books, so the rules in themselves have limited appeal. But it would be interesting to see if any future products were compatible. |
