With Lantan's demise in 4E Realms, I don't understand if there's still an NDA on this. If so, why? It's destroyed and not coming back, unless this is the designers way of saying they are bringing it back? (when, I'd love to know).
If we have no choice other than to wait on an official Dungeon Magazine article from Eye on the Realms to get decent info on this realm, are there any good unofficial collections on Lantan to use?
I am surprised this fascinating place received so little attention.

Keep in mind it's easier and cheaper to leave an NDA in place than it is to go thru the effort of lifting it. |

Must... resist... urge to make "cheap and easy" joke here... |
Playing in the Realms since the Old Grey Box (1987)... and *still* having fun with material published before 2008, despite the NDA'd lore.
If it's comparable in power with non-magical abilities, it's not magic. |

don't fight the resistance unless its dirty and tou breaking and highly inappropriate
anyway, alot of things I asked for are also nda, which has another meaning, its left open for a possible novel.
Lantan for all we know may be underwater with Gond having warned them ahead of time, and created an alchemical based mythal to allow them to live under the sea, in an octopus's garden in the shade. |
why is being a wizard like being a drow? both are likely to find a dagger in the back from a rival or one looking to further his own goals, fame and power

If only that were true, I believe one of the 4E Living Forgotten Realms modules has an adventure involving the destroyed Lantan. I'll have to look more into it, but I think it just may be gone for good (unless, of course, the residents live "elsewhere"). |

| Core 1-3: Sense of Wonder, that's what it was. You explore a Temple of Gond that rises to the surface of the waters from a rare occurence of tides and an earthquake that will lead the temple to the surface for a short time. |
