So I am new to forgotten realms and was given 3 of the books the other month by a uncle, they have been sitting on my shelf and I am really wondering what order the forgotten realms books should be read in?
Note the books I have are:song of the saurials
stream of silver
black wizards
darkwalker of moonshae

Darkwalker on moonshae was the first realms novel.....so I'd start with that. Black wizards is part of the trilogy with it so that one and if you can find the third of them, would be great.

Streams of silver could be read next, but it's part of about 20 plus novels featuring Drizzt , a drow ranger who flees the under dark......its number two in the first trilogy written about him, the ice wind Dale trilogy.

Had to check my bookshelf .

Icewind dale trilogy.... The crystal shard, streams of silver and the halflings gem.

Song of the saurials is part of a trilogy as well.

Song of the Saurials is the third book of the Finder's Stone trilogy. The first two are Azure Bonds and The Wyvern's Spur. All three are long out of print. They are, however, some of the novels I most readily recommend for newcomers to the Realms.

That is a list ordered by publishing date. And the whole website is a great resource for realms reading
