Since we're now naming things after The Sage, how about a separate scroll where we ask The Sage questions?
We could call it "SageThyme"... of course, with a name that spicy, we'd need THO to contribute as well... |
Playing in the Realms since the Old Grey Box (1987)... and *still* having fun with material published before 2008, despite the NDA'd lore.
If it's comparable in power with non-magical abilities, it's not magic. |

Stump the Sage?
Some scribes have been attempting to do just that in Wooly's "FR Trivia Challenge." No winners yet, though.
-- *And yes, I'm well aware that I've now just asked for a renewal of attempts for any scribe to "stump me" via the 'Trivia' scroll. Have at it!* |

I think that dividing by era rather than edition would be best. That way, no one has to deal with pre/post 4th ed issues, and everyone is happy and gets the answers they need, without debates and such flaring up evey time an issue is discussed. I'm going with Jakk's idea here.
Off-topic- love the "No-Prize" idea, and Sage, perhaps you have a Sage-sense to help answer some of those questions. I'm certainly not even going to TRY to stump the almighty Sage. That's like trying to stump God... |

Bah! It's easy to stump the Sage. Just ask him for an exact, specific date on when he's going to do something! |

I vote Delaigh Sageson. |

Well... in retrospect, I wonder how much of the latest round of 'edition wars' was organic, and how much was spurred by a small and specific group of flame-baiting trolls. I'm (fingers crossed) hoping that they have either been banned or have moved on to other projects: If that's the case, I don't think that the sort of rancor we've been seeing will return. Having said that, I do still (and likely always will) support the concept of a 4E/ Post-Spellplague subforum. |

I believe that demarcating 4e realmslore as somehow separate from all other realmslore is an inorganic demarcation. While it may certainly appease the grognards and some fanboys, I believe it would go against the spirit of Candlekeep.
If the time has come to blatantly state Candlekeep's taste in 'Realms designers by 'promoting' the work of some while 'shunning' the work of others, I can offer a looooonggg list of FR work that is, in my opinion, poor and obviously inconsistent.
And I'm sure it will match up with *every* other gamers assertions... (/sarcasm.)
(The scribes of Candlekeep can't even avoid semantic arguments by virtue of agreeing on a standard lexicon.) |
