In book IV Extinction from the war of the spiderqueen, Gromph tricks Nimor into holding a triangle of light, and when he retreats to the shadow plane, he is trapped there.
How did he return/escape?
While reading book V he suddenly pops up and kills somebody, which made me perplexed as i haven't read how he escaped :)

| I just looked through books IV and V, and there seems to be no explanation of it. The best I can figure is that Nimor probably just used his sword or a dagger to cut off the flesh attached to the triangle of light that's attached to his hand. It's either that, or as Zireael suggested, Dyrr helped him. |
