Well, one of the main characters in Downshadow is immediate family with someone from pre-1374 (I also use said character in my games).
Also, one of the leads in my Realms of the Dead story is named after one of her famous ancestors--her great-grandmother. And based on her character, one wonders about her great-grandfather . . .
And while I *could* tell you all about them, what sort of mysterious author would I be if I did?

A friend has just asked me to stat out the child of Myrmeen Lhal and Vangerdahast. So I have to ask you, hallowed scribes of Candlekeep, for any ideas. Zi
EDIT: Bump, I need your help with this one! |

| I wish I could be more helpful, Zireael. But I am unfamiliar with most of these characters, having never used any in my game. I also have not played any of the video games (but would like to try NwN.) Nevertheless, I will review your list again and see if anything jumps out at me and forward any ideas I might have. |

The first thing that jumps to mind is a Cormathor (Myth Drannor) trained Swordmage
Vangerdehast has certain 'ancient connections' to the elven kingdom, and it would be kinda cool for the child to have found a way to follow in both parent's footsteps.
A female Swordmage, because the other has been done (by Rich Baker in his series). A women, with Myrmeen's martial prowess, coupled with Vangy's devious (calculating) mind, is a thing to fear. |

Would Myrdahast (daughter of Vangey and Myrmeen) be a half-dragon? (Mechanically, probably a dragonborn in 4e?) She might look mostly human most of the time, but when she gets angry . . .
Cheers
