I've been working on my homebrew FR campaign for a while(albeit very slowly, given my wandering mind...) and I figured posting parts of it here would help me further flesh out the beloved little abomination I've stitched together.
Questions & comments are welcome, of course, as my answers to these will help me put my jumbled thoughts and ideas in order.
I'll start with the Torilian(i.e. human) Pantheon.

ANACHTYR

Portfolio: Justice, Law(criminal), Temperance(the virtue).
Tyr Lost much influence as the Dark Decades(a long period of mass humanoid invasions that started shortly after the Spellplague ended) swept over Toril, but remained influential in Calimshan, where his church was instrumental in restoring order after the genasi-led uprising toppled the old regime.
ANHUR
CN Intermediate God(stable)
W:Any / C:Any
Portfolio: Sand, deserts & wastelands, desert survival, desert dwellers.
The death of his pantheon, left Anhur a dispirited, broken deity. In his wanderings he fought and absorbed several deities and minor spirits of the wastelands, and found renewed purpose and vigor in the hardy people who inhabit the scorched deserts of Toril. His faith is especially prominent in Zakhara.
AOSKAR

Portfolio: Portals, teleportation magic.
Freed/revived shortly after the Spellplague started. Opened many portals to Abeir and the planes, leading to great migrations from those planes to Realmspace. Serves Azuth.

Finally went off the deep end after Cyric gave him the portfolio of rage(for two reasons: so he wouldn't be blinded by this extreme subset of hatred, and to gain some control over Garagos)

Acquired the portfolio of invention from Oghma. No longer has the alias of Nebelun, as that god has arrived in Faerun with a few other gnome deities(the two get along greatly, however, and their churches often share the same buildings in Lantan.)

As Shar tried to intervene when it became apparent Cyric would not succeed in murdering Mystra, she was met by Chauntea, who manged to take back her son's portfolio in the process.

My FR's Raven Queen. The Spellplague proved too much for midnight. As memories and knowledge for which her still-too-mortal mind was not yet ready assailed her, she had to forcibly reject the mantle of the goddess of magic. She would have died if not for the intervention of Kelemvor, who bestowed upon her the portfolio of a demigoddess that long ago had served the god of the dead.

Hey! Nice work there Hadozee. I especially like how Cyric has rented out bits of his portfolio while he's doing his Hannibal Lecter impression and pulling the renters strings in the process. Also digging how Chauntea is the mother, in some fashion, of some of the earthy/natury deities. Aaand also feeling the love for my boy Gargauth; The Bane connection is pretty cool, as in my current game he's co-opted a branch of the Banite inquisition and doing his devilish thing.
Looking forward to further awesome!

ClericGeneric: Thank you, without the portfolio of insanity, Cyric has become a lot less deluded and much, much more dangerous. When the Faerunian pantheon extended its hegemony over the whole of Toril's mankind, the situation in T'u Lung alone catapulted Gargauth to the rank of Lesser Deity. |

Ubtao (and his shadow, Eshowdow) is worshiped exclusively on the island of Chult, over which his dominion is absolute.
ESHOWDOW
NE Demigod(stable)

Portfolio: The Eshowe people, shadows, destruction, revenge, cowardice, ignominy, fear.
The renewal of the ancient pact granting Ubtao dominion over Chult forced Shar to resurrect Eshowdow in order to maintain influence in Chult. Eshowdow serves Shar, but the experience of having been slain and subsumed by the goddess left him unhinged. Unknown to his mistress, he seeks to break Dendar's shackles and in doing so bring about Realmspace's oblivion.
UBTAO
N Greater God(stable)
W:Any / C:Any
Portfolio: Chult, dinosaurs, the labyrinth of life, the Tabaxi.
No change, aside from ordering the abandonment of Mezro and the migration of its people to an unknown destination inland.

The Primordial Powers are something of an enigma. They do not seem to be beholden to any of the rules Ao imposes on the gods of Realmspace. Aside from Kossuth, none of them has ever had more than a cult-like following(until recently), but they are Greater Powers nonetheless and none of them was forced to walk Faerun in avatar form during the Time of Troubles(Kossuth did send an avatar, but of his own will and suffering none of the restrictions imposed on the other gods.)
The merging of the Elemental Planes with other planes during the Spellplague does not seem to have bothered them the slightest bit. They are very distant and, for all intents and purposes, utterly uninterested in the activities of mortals(even the doings of their own churches.)

On a dark night in 1386 DR, a seer, Aelebeth Irabella, known by her fellow Divinators(priests of Savras) as a quiet, seldom-fazed young thing, Woke precipitately and hurried out of Tashluta's House of the All-Seeing Orb, awed panic evident in every breath she took. those Divinators who were still awake and witnessed this unusual sight followed her out, where she was gazing up at the night sky.
Following her gaze, the priests saw dozens of small explosions briefly light the night sky(spelljammers exploding all around Toril's orbit.) One senior priestess, who sought to interrogate the young girl, was met with eyes turned purest black and the awed, terrified whisper of the girl's voice:
Dweomered pestilence ripples through emptiness,
spurred by Baator's wounded serpent.
From slumber the Void Between the Stars wakes,
darkness falling silent where its gaze wanders.
The girl fell into a feverish and fitful sleep, rambling throughout. She never awoke, dying exactly 24 hours after her original utterance(the attending priest noticed a faint smell of brimstone in the room when Aelebeth drew her last breath.)
The Divinators scrupulously recorded every mad rambling uttered by the girl, and these constitute the only knowledge mortals have of Erebus.
The devastation Erebus' attention wreaks is not due to any active malice on his part, but is merely a part of his very nature. He is supremely indifferent, and so feels no need to act, knowing that time will ensure his eventual reclaiming of all that is, was, and ever will be. |

Here's a small sample of the undead powers that serve under Velsharoon. The Lord of Undeath has a very "hands off" approach to rulership, but keeps most of his underlings at demigodhood.
DORESAIN
CE Demigod(stable)

Portfolio: Vampirism, Blood undead(Such as Red Mists).

CE Lesser Goddess(stable)
Portfolio(only shows the portfolios she has among the Faerunian Pantheon): Spectral undead (such as banshees, ghosts, etc...), disproportionate revenge.
Velsharoon brought her back to (un)life. She has become his(willing) consort.
MELLIFLEUR
NE Demigod(stable)
W:Any nongood / C:Any Evil
Portfolio: Lichdom, Bone undead (such as skeletons).
Velsharoon's chief advisor, as the two deities see eye to eye on almost all matters.

MYRKUL
NE Exarch(one of two types of quasideities)(independent)
Although the Spellplague did not affect most magic items, intelligent magic items were under the same risks as arcane casters.
To escape this, Myrkul, as the Crown of Horns, spent the 10 years of the Spellplague atop Velsharoon's head, imparting to him every secret of undeath and necromancy Myrkul knew. To reward him, Velsharoon rewarded Myrkul with an exarch body he could put himself on and control when fancy struck him.
Velsharoon has no means of controlling Myrkul or the body he gifted the former god, and has never intended to; Myrkul, by its very existence and actions, advances Velsharoon's portfolio.
Although exarchs have no worshipers, their names are often lent to organizations within their patron god's church. The Order of Myrkul consists of the elite of the necromantic world, some of the most powerful black necromancers, priests of undeath, and undead beings on the face of Faerun. They have no unifying goals, functioning more as a social club for the necromantic elite(many Twisted Rune constituents are members). |
