I wondered many times about peaceful life of the Forgotten Realms. I know that adventuring is fun and all, but various races have time of peace, in which they hold many festivals. Can anyone tell me more about them or give a hint where I could find that lore?

The various "Ask Ed Greenwood" threads, and the PDF summaries thereof (available up to end of March 2008; therefater refer to the threads) that are available in the keep, would certainly contain some of the lore you are looking for, and then some... |

| Basically, there are the five seasonal festivals plus Shieldmeet which are celebrated almost everywhere but in varying ways, the solstices and equinoxes which aren't observed everywhere but have diverse religious and local customs associated, the god-specific celebrations mostly mentioned in the Faiths & Avatars books, and many local festival times of which we only know a relative few in Waterdeep, the Vast, Cormyr, Shadowdale, Silverymoon, etc. |

| I think the Magefair, open to all races, can be considered a peaceful time (although it can lead to some chaos, especially with the fireball tossing). |
