| WIth the amount of creativity going around in this new addition that the forgotten realms has entered into, the sky is the limit especially for characters such as Pharaun Mizzrym. I am 110 percent confident that if (and hopefully when) they do bring Pharaun back, that it will be absolutely epic!! |

I wouldn't be 110% sure. For starters, I don't think anyone will bring him back in canon. Secondly, bringing him back in Crystal Mountain only to kill him again was kinda lame. Did he leave something at least so that he could be resurrected again? And BTW, is Aliisza really dead or not, I heard different opinions... |

SPOILER
I just wanted to put in my two cents here. I don't think Pharaun was done justice in Crystal Mountain. He was made out like some kind of comical character. I really hope that is not the end of him, he deserves better. I also think Aliisza is great character that I would love to see continue. The EO series was really about her and they really developed her well, but it's still not enough. I want to know about her childhood and her parents. She died a very good death, but I think she still deserves a better "ending," as a character. And if you bring back Pharaun than you HAVE to bring Aliisza back, or it would be a like a PB sandwhich without the J. I would buy more books about either them even if they are set in the "after-life." They are such complex characters it would hard to predict what the fates of their souls would be, especially Aliisza. |
"Even before he first walked the world as a mortal, Cyric had the will to resist the random call of Fate and make his own fortune. As his newborn soul stood before the goddesses, he cast a light upon Tymora's silver coin, blinding them to his presence. The deities never saw the coin fall, never settled their wager on Cyric's destiny. Thus was he born into the world without any fate save the one he himself could forge." -- from the Cyrinishad |

I agree with the last statement. I think killing them both off is really lame. /Remember Pharaun got offed again too./ But I don't think we really have to know all the details about her life. |

Please let me clarify. I stated that I was 110% confident that Pharaun's return would/will make a great continuation of a story. I did not say that I was 110% sure of anything. Furthermore, yes he did leave something to be resurrected by: the sorcere ring given to his son Kael. There are other details that support this as listed in previous posts. And as Richard Lee Byres himself mentioned in his post on this thread: You can always bring a character back in high fantasy. Its all about imagination, and with that anything is possible in the forgotten realms. Wether or not that "will happen is obviously beyond me. |

I didn't know about the ring. I really have to get my hands on Crystal Mountain now... |

| Pharaun quickly rose to the top of my favorite Realms characters. I'd love to see more of him. |

At first I thought ... hey, stereotypical babble* by male young adults loving the theme of an arrogant, traitorous, and ruthless male character. A character giving the female high-ups of his society the raised middle finger time and again ... while revelling in it and his own powers.
My second thought is that my first thought was correct. That dolt was done for good and rightly so. And while we are at it, having read about the alu-demon and Kaanyr since their first appearance in Hellgate Keep, I was rather bemused to see how this trilogy dismantled these characters' coolness to the core.
*No disrespect whatsoever folks, just my impression ... |
