While I found the read to be amazing! And don't mind if I borrow some of the stuff for my own campaigns or game ideas, I also noticed a lack of mention of Atorrnash.. Undoubtedly it was one of the wealthiest and most developed cities of the age, up until the sundering that is. How so that you decided to leave out such a large chunk of valuable lore?
I just realized I was confused about what Illefarn really was.. Ignore my ignorance :) |

| Having a rest for a while...Sharrven & Siluvanede are gonna be huge if I do them as they're relatively recent and a lot has already been written about them. The beauty about going waaayyy back in to is that there is more room to maneuver without upsetting the canon time stream..... |

| I am digging it! Haven't read the whole thing, but I am loving what I have perused so far. Much obliged for you sharing this. Nice layout, the graphics and art are well done. The map is nifty. The lore is pretty interesting. You really put a lot of hard work into this! Kudos! Very well done! |

| Great work, and the break is well-deserved. I hope you will be revisiting Myth Dyraalis and Myth Unnohyr at some point; I know there isn't much in published sources on either of them outside of the Lands of Intrigue boxed set (there really should have been a 3.x Realms hardcover of the same title). |
Playing in the Realms since the Old Grey Box (1987)... and *still* having fun with material published before 2008, despite the NDA'd lore.
If it's comparable in power with non-magical abilities, it's not magic. |

Dear Scribes & Admins, forgive me for resurrecting such an old scroll, but since I'm not sure Snowblood still lurks these forums, at least I hope he is still subscribed to this scroll and he may get notice of this reply.
First of all, let me add to the queue of compliments - great work.
I have been searching high and low what is the canon source for the locations within Aelinthaldaar, listed from page 58 forward of Snowblood's pdf. Can anyone of you Scribes please help me with a reference? Maybe some Dragon issue?
Thanks! Ze

Ze, I gotta check it out later, at home, but IIRC, it was located in the very place where Waterdeep is seated nowadays (whatever "nowadays" means). I'm almost sure I read it from a canon source.
EDIT: Fortunately I brought it in a flashdrive, found the reference in GHoTR. The elven city stood there for more than seven millennia, until it was undone by a High Magic Ritual at - 1,100 DR. And Snowblood, your work is really wonderful, a true inspiration for all sages. I've downloaded and used some of your material for my own campaign in the North, and for this huge work I thank you very much.
EDIT 2: I've read the "location of the city", not the locations within it. Well, about this I'm not sure if there is a canonic source. |

It's also in the 3E City of Splendors - Waterdeep book. |

Yes, I have gone through both the CoS Boxed set and the 3e CoS-W book, as well as Skullport, RoU, RoU2, 3e LEoF, and a few more sources so far.
Although I have been able to gather a lot of lore from those various sources, the source of the 20-some locations Snowblood lists within the ancient city of Aelinthaldaar still escapes me. I also checked in Cormanthyr: Empire of Elves and in Elves of Evermeet but no luck. Snowblood actually lists some general references for his whole pdf, but I do not own them all, so my hope was that you could help me with these references in particular.

Ze, AFAIK most of Snowblood maps are homebrew. A wonderful work, and easily usable in any campaign, but not canon (not that it matters to me). |

I created, named (and destroyed) Aelinthaldaar, but the locations within it are all from Snowblood. Cheers.
