Can anyone direct me to where I might find more information about the shalarin? (Preferably... and likely, anyway... pre-4E.) I have the mentions of the Shalarin Passings in the GHotR, but nothing else that I can find ATM... but my good 2E SoFS resources are not with me currently, it's been a while since I read any of them, and my memory is not what it once was (I've been gaming in the Realms since the OGB).

Also, as the scroll title indicates, I'm looking for more information regarding Iakhovas; I've read the "Legend of Iakhovas" piece here at the 'Keep, and I'm looking for something both more detailed and more canonical.

Thanks!

Playing in the Realms since the Old Grey Box (1987)... and *still* having fun with material published before 2008, despite the NDA'd lore.

If it's comparable in power with non-magical abilities, it's not magic.

As you said, Sea of Fallen Stars has a lot, and a stat write up, of them. Iakhovas has a lot in the Threat from the Sea trilogy by Mel Odom.

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Thanks to both Kuje and Sage! That will let me direct my search, at least.
