So I'm in a new DnD group with some friends. And for our first adventure I created a monk (one of my first characters, since I'm quite new to the whole DnD'ing).
Since I'm a big fan of Kung Fu movies and Quentin Tarantino movies, I thought it would be awesome if my monk would be able to learn something like the legendary 'Five point palm exploding heart technique' from 'Kill Bill 2' should he ever reach a high level . Something that would put him also in the same league with the wizard of the group (darn 9th level spells).
Now luckily my DM agrees with me and we were both thinking of a way to implement this classic move in 3.5. Now so far we came up with the following:
Special ability: - Only works on humanoids - Similair to flurry of blows (five attacks), only works if all the five attacks hit. - Target needs to make a fortitude save, if he succeeds he just takes the damage, but if he fails he can only move 5 squares before his heart explodes in his chest and kills him (technicaly a target can still finish a fight agains my monk after this attack, though he can't move around anymore... ever )
So what do you guys think of this? I still feel it needs some tweeking, since there are to much restrictions in some areas and to little in others. Only once or twice a day? Other kind of saving throw (or none at all)?
Cheers

Sounds a lot like but not quite the same, very nice website though . I'm still looking for a way to implement my move .
Edit: Oké I'd have to admit those moves sound very much alike.. Would still love to see it implemented somehow, any ideas? |

Grabbing the eye is way cooler tho... think about it as a superior barganing position. Grab one eye and kindly ask the bbg to surrender.. or shell loose the other eye too :D Even as the world does have regeneration, but still close to a death sentence. |

A great way to honor a great fallen actor, too. |
My latest Realms-based short story, about a bard, a paladin of Lathander and the letter of the law, Debts Repaid. It takes place before the "shattering" and gives the bard Arion a last gasp before he plunges into the present.http://candlekeep.com/campaign/logs/log-debts.htm |

Nice idea. But I would make it an epic feat.
And once you reach that high level you deal 1d20 points of damage wich means when you score a crit you can deal 50> points of damage wich requires a fort save or the opponent dies. It's called 'death by massive damage' if I'm right.
Hope it helps and see ya next friday. |
